The "M"

The blinds are now going up pretty fast in relation to the stack sizes. Going by Dan Harrington's "M" calculation, which is the stack divided by all blinds+antes, a player with half the chips at his table (300,000) now has an M of 30, which is plenty. However, if he's only got a quarter of the chips at the table (150,000) and his opponent(s) have the rest, he only has an M of 15, which means he's running out of options. Less than that, and he's heading toward an all-in or fold situation.

Jamshidi Cracks Beebe's Aces

On Table #4, a big hand just went down between Sirous Jamshidi and Elton Beebe right before the break.

Jamshidi limped from the small blind/button, Beebe raised to 16,000, Jamshidi repopped it to 51,000, and Beebe just called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Jamshidi checked, Beebe pushed all in, and Jamshidi made the call with his remaining 110,000.

Jamshidi {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Beebe {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {2-Diamonds}, and Jamshidi's flopped set held up. He's up to 335,000 and Beebe 265,000.
