Katchalov Catch-a-lot

Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov
At Table #1, Eugene Katchalov raised to 15,000 from the button, Tom Roupe folded in the small blind, and John Murphy made the call from the big blind. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Murphy bet 20,000, Katchalov reraised all in with his remaining 72,800, and Murphy called.

Katchalov showed {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the nut flush draw. But Murphy had {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the made straight and a straight flush draw.

Katchalov caught the {2-Clubs} on the turn, and the {3-Diamonds} on the river meant he'd doubled up to 150,000. Murphy is at about 140,000 now, with Roupe holding the remaining 310,000.

Monnette Eliminated

We're down to heads up over on Table #4, as John Monnette has just been eliminated.

Sirous Jamshidi raised to 15,000 from the button, and Monnette reraised all in with his last 23,000 from the big blind. Jamshidi made the call.

Monnette {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Jamshidi {9-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop was {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, giving Jamshidi tens and Monnette fives. The turn was a queen and the river an ace, and Monnette is out in third.

Entering heads up, Elton Beebe has 340,000 to Jamshidi's 260,000.

Eric Froehlich Eliminated

John Juanda completed from the small blind, and Froehlich checked his option from the big blind. The flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Juanda bet 5,000, Froehlich reraised his remaining 30,000, and Juanda called.

Juanda showed Q-5, and Froehlich 5-3. Each had paired their fives, but Juanda had the better kicker. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and the river the {8-Hearts}, and Froehlich was out in third.

Juanda currently holds the chip lead at Table #5, with 430,000 to Tim West's 170,000.

It's Nice to Get Aces Three-Handed

At Table #5, John Juanda raised to 9,500 from the small blind, Eric Froehlich reraised to 27,500 from the big blind, Juanda upped it to 50,000, Froehlich pushed all in, and Juanda called, putting 150,000 total in the middle.

Juanda {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Froehlich {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The flop was {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, so E-Fro was looking for a jack to knock out Juanda. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {10-Spades}, and Juanda doubled up to 310,000. Froehlich is down to 60,000. Meanwhile, Tim West has 230,000.

Greg Mueller Advances to Final Table

On the very next hand, Adam Levy pushed all in from the small blind/button with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and Mueller called with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and Greg Mueller advances to tomorrow's final table.

Like all of those who fail to win their tables today, Levy takes home $16,920 as a consolation prize.
