Gray Bluffs Into Quads

Skies are looking gloomy for Craig "MrCasino" Gray. He tried to bluff on the river of a K-6-9-2-9 board, and David Redlin couldn't believe his luck -- he was holding pocket nines for quads, and knocks Gray down to just 11,000.

The Great Khalid

Not since Dallas climaxed have we seen such drama, a three-way dance on the far table sending the entire table into a frenzy.

With Khalid Hameed raising to 2,400 preflop, Justin St John pushing for 16,000 and Dale Philips also moving all in, this time for 21,000 total, the action was back on Hammed who had both men covered.

After a lengthy spell in the think tank, Khalid made the call.

Hameed = {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
St John = {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Phillips {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

Searching for a miracle ace to eliminate both foes, the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} was of no aid, nor was the seemingly crucial {J-Diamonds} which propelled Phillips into an unlikely lead.

But the river changed it all, the {K-Diamonds} giving St John the set, but Hameed a gasp-inducing gutshot straight for what turned out to be a shock win and a juicy 58,000 pot.

Young and Abesamis Doing Well

Jason Young has expanded his stack to 63,000, calling Donald Carlton's bets on every street of an {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} board.

Carlton: Q-3
Young: A-J

------

Meanwhile things are also looking up for Tony Abesamis. Ali Eslami bet from the button on a {K-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} flop. Craig Gray in the small blind called, and Abesamis in the big blind raised all in for 23,000. Eslami folded but Gray called with {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. Abesamis' {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} made a flush on the {9-Diamonds} river, and he's up to 59,000.

Geyer Gone

Marco Mills ({7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}), who triumphed in the marathon bout from round one, is proving his stamina is in good stead by disposing of Richard Geyer (Qx)(Jx). After a raise and a call preflop, both players checked the {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop before initial aggressor Mills bet out 3,500 on the {A-Clubs} turn. Geyer raised and Mills called.

On the {J-Clubs} river, the chips inevitably flew in, Marco checking, Richard pushing, and Marco making the call. On their backs and Mills has his man beat in what is somewhat of a cooler, the cruel turn giving Geyer the straight, but Mills the flush draw which duly arrived.

Whilst Geyer hits the sidelines, Geyer breaks the half century mark with 50,000 in chips.

Recent Eliminations, Including the Demise of the Ultimullet

His chips are gone, but the mullet lives on

Garret Beckman has knocked out Fabio Coppola with a set of sixes against Coppola's Q-7 on a Q-6-2 flop.

-----

Brian Lamanna is a goner, the exact circumstances murky but the outcome very definite.

Also the tournament is down one magnificent mullet, in the form of Darren "Ultimullet" Rice. His {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} came a cropper to Sergey Rybachenko's {6-Diamonds} {5-Spades} on a {6-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {K-Spades} flop, with no change for either on the {4-Clubs} turn or {2-Hearts} river.

Andy Moser Eliminated

Andy Moser raises to 3,500 and Craig Gray calls, before smooth calling a 5,000 continuation bet on the Q-T-5 flop. On the ace turn, Moser check-raises Gray's 5,000 bet all in, only to find his A-K is up against A-Q and searching for one of three outs. No king emerged and Moser was gone.
