What a Way to Survive the Bubble

Kyle Wilson moved all in very near bubble and and found a caller but he was in good shape holding {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} versus an opponent's {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}.

His mood soon changed though when when the flop came {K-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts}!

It looked like curtains for Wilson as the turn fell {10-Spades} and river {A-Spades} !!

A bigger set on the river meant he survived by the skin of his teeth and doubled up to 85,000.

'We'll Buy the Kid Dinner'

Philiip Yeh raised to 3000 before Jean-Robert Bellande reraised to 10,000. Not one to be pushed around, Philip Yeh raised again, for all his chips. Bellande then opened up 'The first time I'm going to make the money in this tournament and this is the situation I find myself in'. 'It's just outside the money too' he adds.

'I'll show you' responds Yeh. 'You had ace nine the last time you said that' Bellande fires back.

All the the time this is going on Bellande is holding up pocket jacks so all behind can see. His decision is made harder by Greg 'FTB' Mueller and Raymond Davis goading him on and singing from the next table.

The pressure seems to get too much and he folds. Yeh keeps his word and tables ace queen. Davis and Mueller are loving the situation and Yeh's play and offer to buy him dinner for making Bellande sweat so much and fold.

A Gray Day

Craig Gray just got it all in preflop but wasn't happy to see two guys move all in behind him. That was because he was holding {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades}.

The other two players had {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} and {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}.

An ace on the flop gave the whole pot to the guy with the middle stack. Gray was the short stack of the three and left us within ten of the money.

Craig Gray Recovers Slightly

"Mr. Casino" Craig Gray had been crippled to 5,000 a few hands back, but he just doubled up when he won a race with {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} against {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades} . He'll still be short, with 12,500, as we approach the bubble.

Bubble Tactics

Bernard Lee has just had his stack go up to 106,000. The hand was three handed at the turn stage but one player bailed out so we're heads up at the river.

The board reads {9-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {10-Clubs}.

Lee bets 21,000 into his opponent who goes into the tank. He sits there for between twelve to fifteen minutes contemplating the call. He says someone should call the clock on him but no one is keen to do that with the bubble approaching. They are all cute enough to let him take as long as possible, thus slowing the game at their table and giving them an advantage over all other tables.

He eventually makes the call but mucks when he sees Lee's {8-Diamonds} {j-Diamonds} for the straight.
