Great Call Zamani

Albert Iversen raised from the big blind after Ben Zamani completed from the small blind.

The flop came {K-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} before Zamani led out for 10,000 and Iversen called.

The turn came 7c. Zamani checked to see Iverson bet 17,000 before he bumped it up to 35,000. Iversen then moved all in and Zamani made the call creating a monster pot.

Iversen had been caught making a decent move with {J-Spades} {8-Diamonds} but Zamani made a brave and decent call with {A-Spades} {9-Clubs}.

The river came {5-Diamonds} and a shell shocked Iversen is busted and Zamani is our new chip leader with around 300,000.

Happy von Halle

Jan von Halle made a call after an oppenent moved all in after the flop had been dealt.

The flop was {Q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {2-Spades}.

Von Halle had top set with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades} and his opponent would need running kings with {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}.

It didn't come and von Halle is up to 90,000.

Say it Aint So, Joe

Joe Awada has suffered a huge hit when he made a move with {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}. He put his opponent to a decision for all his chips, but when his opponent called and turned over {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}, Awada was left in bad shape. The board blanked off and Awada was left with 31,000 in chips.

Seif Suffers a Set Back

After the small blind limped in Mark Seif checked and the two blinds saw the flop come {K-Spades} {2-Spades} {3-Spades} both players checked the turn placed the {9-Spades} on the board. Again, both players checked and the river brought the {10-Clubs} as well as fireworks.

The small blind bet 11,000 and Seif followed quickly with a raise to 22,000. After some theatrics the small blind re-raised to 52,000 and Seif reluctantly called. When the small blind turned over {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} Seif knew his queen high flush was no good, and he mucked his hand.

Seif has 86,000 in chips

Von Halle Spikes

Jan von Halle moved all in from middle position with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}, a "Halle Mary," as his chip stack was dwindling. He was called by the big blind with {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}. As the cards were turned, von Halle was in need of a queen.

The board came {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} and with only the river remaining von Halle was dead to one of three remaining queens. Sure enough, the poker gods were smiling on him today as the river peeled off the {Q-Diamonds} and von Halle took down the pot, bringing his stack to over 100,000.

Shark Food

True to his name, Humberto 'the shark' Brenes was spotted eating sushi during the break. Perhaps it helps him get into character, because he has started to serenade the poker room.

Case Three

Just before the break Jan von Halle moved all in preflop and found one caller.

Von Halle tabled {3-Clubs} {3-Spades} and was up against an opponent's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}.

The flop came {9-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}, putting von Halle behind, but the turn came {3-Hearts} to make him a set and leave his opponent drawing dead.

After the hand Greg Mueller commented that he folded ace-three, meaning, if true, that the case three came on the turn to save von Halle.

Von Halle up to 130,000.
