Demidov Goes Rivering

Matt Molinari opens the action with a raise, and Ivan Demidov makes a reraise. Molinari shoves all in, and Demidov makes the call.

Demidov: {A-Spades} {K-Spades}
Molinari: {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}

Demidov is hating life when he sees his opponent's hand. Things would get better for him though. Much better. The dealer runs the board: {9-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. The ten ball on the river nails Demidov, filling up his straight and putting the beat on Molinari. Having had his aces cracked, Matt Molinari makes his way towards the exit.

Ngo Sends Echeverri Off

We pick up the action on the flop in a pot between Gustavo Echeverri and Phung Ngo. The board reads {7-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {3-Hearts}. Echeverri moved all in with {A-Clubs} {7-Spades} , and Ngo made the quick call with {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. The turn and river fail to bail out Echeverri, coming {3-Diamonds}, {5-Clubs}, and he is eliminated.

Jack in the Door

John Hoang has just knocked out two players, with a three-way all in preflop. Alec Torelli and Edgar Macias were the victims, holding {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} and {A-?} {8-?} respectively. Hoang had {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} and both players covered.

The board came no help to the all ins: {J-Hearts} {6-Spades} {3-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}. The jack in the door made top set for John Hoang and sent the other two players packing.

Froehlich Straightens Out Haughey

William Haughey moved all in from middle position, and Eric Froehlich called him down from the big blind. Haughey tabled {A-Spades} {8-Clubs}, and Froehlich liked his chances with his {6-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}.

With no further action, the dealer spread the dramatic flop: {8-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {2-Hearts}. Top pair for Haughey but Froehlich picked up an open-ended straight draw. The suspense ended on the turn; the {4-Clubs} left Haughey drawing dead, and he heads off to the payout desk.

Simon Bows Out

Sam Simon moved all in under the gun for 16,400 with {A-Clubs} {5-Hearts}. Peter Feldman didn't need to think long; he looked down at {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} and made the call.

The board was useless to Simon: {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {K-Hearts}. Sam Simon made his exit very graciously, thanking everyone and wishing them all the best of luck.

Is Four Aces Good?

Scott Freeman opened with a raise to 10,500 from middle position. Action passed to Simon Ravnsbaek on the button, and he moved all in for approximately 55,000. Freeman made the instant call with {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}. Ravnsbaek held {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}.

Ravnsbaek was drawing nearly dead on the flop when it came {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {A-Clubs}. Freeman's top set was unbeatable, but it got even better. To add insult to elimination, the dealer ripped off the case ace, {A-Hearts} on the turn. A {J-Clubs} on the river is the last card Ravnsbaek will see in this event; he makes his way out after getting quadded to death.
