Johnny Chan raised from middle position and Ali Eslami called from the small blind, as did Frank Kassela from the big blind.
The flop came . Eslami and Kassela both check-called the flop bet of Chan. The turn fell the and Eslami checked. Kassela bet and both Chan and Eslami made the call. The river came the and Eslami checked. Kassela bet and was quickly raised by Chan. Eslami folded but Kassela called. The players showed:
Chan:
Kassela:
Both players had the same low but Chan's full house was best for high. He took three-quarters of the pot and is now up to about 112,000 in chips. Kasella and Eslami each fall to approximately 74,000 and 80,000 respectively.
And neither is Bryan Colin. Schneider and Colin traded taking lead and with Tom showing and Bryan , Schneider bet out after the final card was dealt and Colin raised. Tom made the call and Bryan's was good enough to take the pot. Schneider is down to 44,000 and Colin's stack rose to 120,000.
We picked this pot up on fifth street, after it had been three-bet by Pescatori on fourth. Pescatori, with the highest board bet out and was called by Cassidy, Tran and Elezra. On sixth, Pescatori led again. Cassidy and Tran called, but Elezra folded. On seventh street it was the same story.
Pescatori turned up in the hole-- two pair sevens and threes for high and 7-6-3-2-A for low. Both Cassidy and Tran mucked and Pescatori scooped the pot.
TJ Cloutier
Ali Nejad from PokerRoad Radio and Jeff Madsen just walked past Table #10, where T.J. Cloutier is sitting. T.J. looked over at Madsen and said to Ali, "Oh, I see what kinda people you're running with these days."
"Don't associate me with those hooligans," Nejad said.
And then T.J. said, "I have to look at that kid all day," and pointed to the gigantic Player of the Year poster of Madsen that hangs on the wall right in front of Cloutier's table.
Ali Eslami raised from early position. Action folded to John Henson in the small blind and he called.
The two took a flop of heads up. Henson checked and Eslami bet. Henson raised and Eslami reraised. Henson made the call and the hit the turn. Henson checked-called Eslami's bet
When the river fell the Henson check-called another bet from Eslami. Eslami showed and Henson mucked. After the hand Eslami is up to about 97,000 while Henson is still above average with roughly 105,000 in chips.
With the board showing Mike Fiorito checked and then called when Alex Kostritsyn bet. Kostritsyn showed and Fiorito flashed a king (perhaps paired with another?) before mucking. Kostritsyn is up to 132,000.
David Chiu and Minh Ly mixed it up in another pot, this time playing stud. Chiu showed to Ly's and Chiu was betting all the way to sixth street, when he decided to check-call Ly's bet.
Chiu chose to check-call again when the last card was dealt, and showed to win the pot with a higher two pair (aces and threes) than Ly's for jacks and sevens. Chiu took the pot and he and Ly now sit with identical 90,000 stacks.
Action folded around to Lee Markholt on the button and he raised. Alex Kravchenko called from the small blind as did Chuck Danielsson from the big blind.
The flop came and Kravchenko bet. Danielsson passed but Markholt made the call.
The turn came the and Kravchenko bet again. Markholt raised and Kravchenko reraised. Markholt called and the hit the river. Kravchenko bet and Markholt called. Kravchenko showed for the nut straight and Markholt mucked.
David Benyamine and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi just played a heads-up hand that saw considerable action. Benyamine bet third street and Mizrachi raised. Benyamine called, and then he bet every street through the river. Mizrachi called him down and the players showed:
Mizrachi: (X) (X) (X)
Benyamine: () () ()
Mizrachi mucked and Benyamine won the pot. He is now up to approximately 117,000 in chips while Mizrachi slips to roughly 91,000.
