Top-Top is the Nuts

"You called me with what?!"
"You called me with what?!"
Except when it's not. With 7,000 in the pot preflop, a player bet 6,000 into T6 pro Michael Guzzardi on a {4-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} flop. Guzzardi raised to 25,000, enough to put the other player all in. The other player did call all in, and the hands were opened.

Guzzardi: {k-Hearts} {K-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}

The turn and river bricked out, knocking out Guzzardi's opponent and increasing Guzzardi's stack to 73,000.

Alex Quintana Eliminated

Alex Quintana
The end came for Alex Quintana as it does for so many others--by running into another player's pocket aces. Quintana moved in with {10-Clubs} {10-Spades} after a player raised and this time his opponent rolled over the bullets. The board ran out {7-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {6-Spades} {K-Diamonds} and Quintana shook every player at the table's hand, wishing them good luck, as his night came to an end.

Matt Brady Eliminated

Matt Brady - event #2
Matt Brady - event #2
Matt Brady moved all in with an open-ended straight draw and a flush draw on a board reading {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}. He held {5-Clubs} {3-Clubs} and his opponent called his all in with {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}. The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and the river a {J-?} to eliminate Brady as he wasn't able to hit any of his outs.

Jason Gray Eliminated

Jason Gray - Eliminated
A short-stacked Jason Gray got the last of his chips in on a flop of {10-?} {5-?} {3-?}. Gray got just one caller and his {9-?} {5-?} trailed the {10-?} {8-?} of his opponent. The turn and river blanked and Gray is gone.

Orel Hershiser Finally Succumbs

Orel Hershiser
Orel Hershiser
After being almost down to the felt before making a big comeback, Orel Hershiser was eliminated just before the dinner break. After a {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {10-Hearts} flop it was checked around to Hershiser, who bet 3,000. Stan Jablonski then raised from the small blind to 10,000 and after two others folded Orel made the call.

The turn was the {K-Spades}, Jablonski made a 6,000 bet and Hershiser moved all in. Stan called and showed that he'd flopped a flush with {7-Hearts} {8-Hearts}. Hershiser held {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} and needed another heart to remain in the tournament, but the river brought the {10-Diamonds} and that was the end. Hershiser gave Stan the autographed baseball he was using as a card protector and conducted a quick interview with ESPN's cameras before making his way out of the Amazon Room.

From Thrilled to Devestated to Thrilled

Robert Kovar was all in just before the dinner break, holding {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} on a flop of {9-Spades} {2-Spades} {8-Hearts}. He was in fantastic shape against one opponent who called with {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts}. With the turn of one card, his heart sank as the turn came down {10-Spades} to make a set for his opponent. That heart was jump-started when the river fell {Q-Hearts} and Kovar made a set of his own.

Kovar now has 21,000.
