Emad Gets Tattooed

Leo Boxell moved all in on the turn of a {A-?} {K-?} {7-?} {2-?} board and Emad Tahtouh made the call. Tahtouh held {A-?} {Q-?}, but was drawing dead to Boxell's {A-?} {K-?}. The river completed the board with a seven and Tahtouh stormed off in disgust.

Tahtouh is down to 25,000 and Boxell up to 26,500.

The Surprise Ending

Mark Vos raised to 1,500 and the player in the small blind called. The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {3-Hearts} and the small blind check-called Vos' 3,000 bet. When the {A-Hearts} turned, Vos hit the brakes and checked behind.

The {3-Clubs} fell on the river and the small blind fired out 7,000. Vos raised to 20,000 and got the call. He turned over {10-Spades} {10-Clubs} for the flopped set and rivered full house and took down a tidy pot.

Udine Flushed From Tournament

Joseph Udine's Day 2 came to an abrupt end here in the first two hours of play. He raised to 1,300 preflop and was called by Rene Refsgaard. On a flop of {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}, Udine bet 3,800. Refsgaard quickly moved all in. Udine and his short stack had no choice but to call with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. When Refsgaard showed {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}, Udine needed to fade a diamond, but couldn't do it. The turn and river were the {7-Clubs} and the {3-Diamonds}.

Bob McWilliams Eliminated

The main event dreams of Bob McWilliams just came to an early end when his {A-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} failed to improve against the {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts} of opponent Mike Offerman.

Despite turning a flush draw, McWilliams finished second best on the {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} board.

Forget Doyle, We Got Silvio Formica

In a recent hand, Silvio Formica was showing off for the ESPN cameras that circled the table. As the cameras rolled, Formica's opponent was contemplating calling Formica's all-in with pocket jacks. Formica laughed when he even thought about it and went on to say, "When I put my money in, don't call unless you have aces."

After a friend stopped by to greet Formica and ask him if he was causing trouble, a player told Formica that the cameras were off and he could stop. Formica responded, "I'm more famous than Doyle Brunson in this town! I've busted Johnny Chan 20,000 times."

From This, an Empire

John Hennigan raised in late position to 1,500 and was called only by the big blind. Both players checked the {J-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {2-Hearts} flop. On the turn {Q-Diamonds}, the big blind fired out a bet of 2,100. Hennigan called.

Both players checked the river {Q-Clubs}. Hennigan opened pocket fours for queens and fours, a winning hand. He now has 31,000.

A Pair of Double-Ups

Both Paul Wasicka and Patrik Antonius managed to double up recently.

Wasicka picked up pocket rockets, and was called by a player holding {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, and doubled back up to 9,500.

Antonius picked up pocket jacks, and was called by an opponent with pocket eights. His hand held up as well, and he's back to 21,000.

A Good Birthday Thus Far

Michael Johnson, who goes by "dblupm0j" online, is another UltimateBet qualifier who is celebrating a birthday today. Though he looks to be in his mid-40s, when asked what birthday it was, he said, "I'm turning 21 again." Michael has won two big pots already with A-8 over A-Q and K-K over A-Q. He's got 133,000.
