The river fell the {A-Diamonds} and Hellmuth bet 175,000. Kennedy moved all in for 510,000 total and Hellmuth made the call. Kennedy showed {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades} and Hellmuth mucked in disgust.

Chris Zapf Eliminated in 66th Place ($96,500)

Chris Zapf - 66th Place.
Chris Zapf - 66th Place.
The short-stacked Zapf was probably pleased to pick up {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} and even happier to get all his money in up against Peter Eastgate's {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. That is, right up to the point where the flop came {2-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} to give Peter the nut straight. The board ran out {7-Hearts} {7-Spades} and Zapf's day came to a sudden, sudden end.

Ivan Demidov Continues to Chip Up

Ivan Demidov raised to 85,000 from the cutoff, Phi Nguyen called from the button and Garrett Beckman called from the big blind. The flop was {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {2-Spades} and the action was checked around. The turn was the {4-Diamonds}. Beckman checked, Demidov checked, Nguyen bet 180,000, Beckman folded and Demidov called. The river was the {7-Hearts} and both players checked.

Demidov showed {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and Nguyen mucked. Demidov is now up to 4,420,000 while Nguyen fell to 1,080,000.

Kim Rivers Action Card

Albert Kim
Albert Kim
In a battle of the blinds, Albert Kim and David Saab saw a cheap flop of {3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Kim led out for 100,000 and Saab made the call.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Kim checked to Saab, who fired 150,000. Kim made the call.

The river landed the {7-Diamonds} and Kim checked once again, allowing Saab to fire out 350,000. Kim then check-raised to 1 million in total. Saab cringed and said "OK, show me the full house," before making the call. He was right, as Kim flipped {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Saab flashed {4-Spades}{6-Hearts} for the rivered straight.

Kim jumps to 5.4 million with Saab slipping to under 1.8 million.

Sean Davis - 69th Place
On a flop of {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}, Gert Andersen, Mark Ketteringham and Sean Davis were involved in a three-way pot. Andersen checked, Davis bet 200,000 and both Ketteringham and Andersen called.

Andersen: {Q-Spades} {10-Spades}
Ketteringham: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}
Davis: {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}

The river was the {5-Spades} and Andersen's Broadway straight was best. He won the massive pot, took his stack over the 7,000,000-chip mark, and crippled Mark Ketteringham to just under 900,000. Sean Davis was eliminated on the hand and left as our 69th-place finisher.
