Angie Tran Soaring

We quickly rushed over to find Angie Tran all in on the river for her last 2,675.

Her opponent was put to a major decision with the board reading {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and eventually made the call tabling her {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}.

However it would be Tran's {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a flopped set of trips to see her take the pot and soar to 11,000 in chips.

Table of Note

Amanda Baker in action

In the orange section of the Amazon Room, we found a couple of well known pros sharing the same table:

Karina Jett, with five previous WSOP cashes and currently 4,200 in chips, was recently joined by Amanda Baker and her 2,500-chip stack.

With Baker already cashing in this year's series, she will be looking to add another after bubbling Event 11, while Jett will belooking to capture her first for the year.

Liv Free, Die Hard

Liv Boeree has just doubled up to 6,200 after cracking an opponent's pocket aces with her own pocket fives.

Onlooker Joe Sebok made sure to tell Liv how well he thinks she plays; in jest, of course.

Liv now sits with just over 6,000 in chips.

Calhoun Clipped

Catching the action on a board of {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} Catherine Calhoun led out for 800 with her opponent making the call.

The river saw the {6-Hearts} drop and Calhoun's opponent took the lead firing 2,000-chips into the pot. Calhoun deliberated for a moment before laying her hand down to see her slip to 1,800 in chips.

Jett Slips

With the action folding round to the blinds, Karina Jett bumped the action to 150, only to be met with a re-raise to 450.

Jett made the call and checked the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop before being faced with a bet of 750. Jett opted to call once again and checked to her opponent when the {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

Her opponent pushed her last 1,650 into the middle, and after some deliberation Jett eventually mucked to see her slip to 4,000 in chips.

Schoenberg Starting To Surge

A happy Erica Schoenberg
A happy Erica Schoenberg
In a limped pot we saw Erica Schoenberg bet out 125 on a board of {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} from the cutoff, with only the button making the call.

The turn of the {8-Hearts} was checked by both players to see the {7-Diamonds} peel on the river. Schoenberg fired a 300-chip bet, only to be met with a re-raise to 600.

Schoenberg made the call and tabled her {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to best her opponent's {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. As she raked in the pot Schoenberg climbed to over 4,000 in chips after slipping early.

Waggoner Walks

Runner-runner elimination for Waggoner
Runner-runner elimination for Waggoner
Marsha Waggoner limped from middle position as did the cutoff and the blinds.

The flop fell down {J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and it was checked to the cutoff player who made it 300 to go. The big blind made the call before Waggoner pushed her last 1,850 into the middle. The cutoff called as the big blind passed and the cards were tabled.

Waggoner: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

With Waggoner way out in front with a flopped a set, the {9-Diamonds} on the turn gave her opponent a re-draw to a flush.

Unluckily for Waggoner the {Q-Diamonds} would land on the river to see her eliminated from the tournament.

Tiffany Michelle Eliminated

With a raise to 150 before her, Tiffany Michelle made the call from the button.

The flop of {9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} was checked by both players to see the {A-Hearts} fall on the turn. Michelle called a 350-chip bet to see the {6-Spades} land on the river.

Faced with a bet for all her chips, Michelle tanked for some time before making the call and tabling her {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. However her opponent's {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} would see her take the pot and send Michelle to the rail.
