Chan Eliminated by Rousso

With the board showing {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, Vanessa Rousso bet 10,000 and Johnny Chan raised all in with his last 30,000. After some thought, Rousso made the call, turning over {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. Chan showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and the river the {8-Clubs}, and Chan was eliminated. Rousso now has 127,000.

Mizzi All In, Alaei Missed

With board showing {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{A-Clubs}, Daniel Alaei bet 6,500, Sorel Mizzi raised to 31,000, Alaei reraised enough to put Mizzi all in, and Mizzi made the call with his remaining 57,000 chips.

Alaei showed {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the nut flush draw, while Mizzi showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for top pair. Fourth and fifth streets brought the {K-Hearts} and the {6-Hearts}, and Mizzi's hand held up.

Alaei falls back to 227,000, while Mizzi climbs to 137,000.

Hellmuth Reraised with... What?

That's right, baby-- 3-7 off!
That's right, baby-- 3-7 off!
Brett Richey opened for 3,500 from late position and Phil Hellmuth three-bet to 14,300 from the button. Richey called and they saw a flop of {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {3-Spades}. Richey led out for 18,000 and Hellmuth called. Both players checked the {7-Clubs} on the turn, but Richey fired again when the {J-Clubs} hit the river. Hellmuth flat-called and rolled over {3-Diamonds} {7-Spades}, having turned two pair. Richey's {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} was toast and Hellmuth raked in the pot, increasing his stack to 237,000. Richey was left with 51,000.

Shaun Deeb Abusing RaSZi

Luke Staudenmaier raises from under the gun to 3,600. Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis calls from early position as does Shaun Deeb from middle position. The flop comes {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} and action is checked to Deeb who bets 8,200. Staudenmaier gets out of the way and Veldhuis calls. The turn brings the {3-Hearts} and Veldhuis check-calls a 20,500 bet from Deeb.

The river is the {7-Diamonds} and Veldhuis checks for a third time. Deeb fires a final shell at the pot, moving all in for 140,000. Veldhuis tanks for about 90 seconds before mucking his hand.

Deeb seems to be targeting Veldhuis; this is the second time he has moved in on him in the past half hour.

Shaun Deeb - 190,000
Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis - 142,000

Passive Play From The Dragon

Corwin Cole raises from under the gun to 3,200 and action folds around to David Pham on the button who reraises to 8,700. The blinds fold and Cole makes the call.

The board comes {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {7-Spades} {8-Diamonds} with both players checking it down the whole way. Cole shows pocket tens, but the Dragon has him beat with pocket queens.

The Dragon takes the pot and is now at 195,000. Cole has his original starting stack of 120,000.

Phil Laak Doubles Through Steve Sung

Phil Laak opened the action with a raise to 3,200 from early position and got three callers-- Chad Batista, Steve Sung, and Sandor Demjan. All four players checked the {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {6-Spades} flop.

The turn paired the board with the {A-Diamonds}. Demjan and Laak checked over to Batista, who bet 7,400. Sung smooth-called, Demjan folded and Laak raised to 18,500. Batista mucked and Sung called.

The river was the {K-Clubs} and Laak moved all in for his remaining 24,500. After a lengthy think, Sung made the call, mucking his hand once he laid eyes on Laak's {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} for trips. Laak doubled to 107,000 on the hand while Sung's stack sunk to 56,000.
