Players Take a 20-Minute Break

This will be the last break of the night. The plan today was to play eight levels or down to 18 players, whichever came first.

It appears we probably won't be reaching 18 today, so we should expect two more full levels of play. Whether or not we get to 27 and the cash by the end of the night remains to be seen.

Chiu Doubles through Raymer

Greg Raymer raised to 45,000, then David Chiu reraised all in for 128,000, and Raymer made the call.

Raymer showed A-9 and Chiu A-K. The board came {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, and Chiu has doubled up to 260,000. Raymer is still well out in front with nearly 2.5 million -- about a million chips more than his nearest competitor.

Ali Eslami Eliminated

Ali Eslami
Short stacked, Ali Eslami was all in for his last 84,000 with {K-Hearts} {9-Spades} against the {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} of Neil Channing.

The flop came {9-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs} giving Eslami the lead, but when the {A-Spades} came on the turn, he was all but gone. The {2-Clubs} on the river sealed his fate and Eslami hit the rail nine spots out of the money.

Neil Channing - 345,000
Ali Eslami - 36th place ($0)

Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis open-raised to 45,000 from late position, and Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro reraised all in for about 300,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way, and Veldhuis made the call.

Kelopuro showed {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Veldhuis {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. The flop came {7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and Kelopuro is out in 35th place. Veldhuis now has 1.4 million.

J.C. Tran Doubles through Ted Forrest

J.C. Tran moved all in from middle position and the action was folded to Ted Forrest in the big blind.

"I don't mind a fold," said Tran.

"I understand," replied Forrest, who indeed made the call.

Tran had Forrest dominated, with {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} to Forrest's {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}. The board ran out {10-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {9-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {5-Spades} and Tran doubled his stack to 280,000.

"Visions of K-J and K-Q were running through my head," quipped Forrest, who is still well-stacked at 920,000.
