Brian Rast Eliminated in 14th Place ($128,666)

Brian Rast - 14th Place
Brian Rast - 14th Place
Vitaly Lunkin raised to 100,000 from middle position, and it folded back to Brian "tsarrast" Rast who reraised all in for his last 520,000 from the big blind. Lunkin tanked for a short while, then made the call.

Rast {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Lunkin {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}, and suddenly Rast was searching for one of those other two kings. The turn was the {2-Clubs}, and the river the {5-Hearts}, giving Lunkin quads. Rast is out in 14th place, earning $128,666. Lunkin has 1.45 million.

He Wins With the Ace High

Isaac Haxton raised to 90,000 from the hijack seat, then Dani Stern raised to 260,000 from the small blind. Haxton thought a while, then made the call.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Stern bet 180,000, and Haxton pushed all in, causing Stern to fold instantly. Haxton then turned over {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Haxton is at 1.78 million now, and Stern 1.4 million.

Brian Townsend Eliminated in 13th Place ($128,666)

Brian Townsend - 13th Place
Brian Townsend - 13th Place
Brian Townsend open-shoved for 800,000 from the button, Alec Torelli moved all in behind him from the small blind and after a bit of a tank, Noah Schwartz called all in from the big blind.

Townsend {6-Spades} {7-Hearts}
Torelli {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}
Schwartz {Q-?} {Q-Diamonds}

Though Schwartz was in excellent position to triple up, a ten hit the flop and another hit the turn, the board running out {J-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {4-Hearts} to make Torelli quads.

Townsend was eliminated, Schwartz is down to 700,000 and Torelli is now up to nearly 5 million.

Matthew Marafioti Eliminated in 12th Place ($172,120)

Ted Forrest raised to 120,000 from under the gun, Isaac Haxton reraised to 375,000 from the hijack seat, then Matthew "adz124" Marafioti shoved all in for 595,000. Tony G thought a while before folding from the big blind, Forrest took less time to fold, then Haxton quickly made the call.

Haxton {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Marafioti {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Bad timing for Marafioti. The board ran out {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, and Haxton won the hand. (Tony G and Forrest discussed afterwards what might have been had Tony G stuck around.)

Marafioti is out in 12th place, earning $172,120. Haxton, meanwhile, has moved up to 2.385 million.

A Pretty Bird Indeed

Evelyn Ng sweats Lex Veldhuis
Evelyn Ng sweats Lex Veldhuis
Evelyn Ng has certainly brightened up the rail here at the 40K no-limit. She's sweating her boyfriend, Lex "RaSZi" Veldhuis and has even brought a home-made sign, reading "GO GO LEX!" Naturally, it's on the back of what was once some Guitar Hero packaging.

Joining her on the rail is Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck, who is sweating both Veldhuis and fellow Team PokerStars Pro Greg Raymer.

Lehr Doubles through Bonomo

The table had folded to Justin Bonomo who put in a raise from the small blind, then Keith Lehr pushed his short stack all in from the big blind and Bonomo made the call. Bonomo had the Brunson -- {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} -- while Lehr had {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

The community cards came {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}, and Lehr doubled up to 1 million. Bonomo is now back down to right about 2 million.

Float On

Had another blind-vs.-blind battle just happen on Table #143, this one perhaps a bit more interesting than that Lehr-Bonomo one.

In this one, the table folded to Ted Forrest who raised to 120,000 from the small blind, and Isaac Haxton called from the big blind. The flop came {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Forrest bet 100,000, and Haxton called. The turn was the {8-Clubs}. This time Forrest bet 200,000, and Haxton again called.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Forrest instantly checked, and Haxton put out a bet of 425,000. Forrest tanked, then made the call. "Straight," said Haxton. "You have a straight?" said an incredulous Forrest. Indeed Haxton did, as he turned over {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

"I had a feeling you floated me twice," said Forrest. Haxton now has 3.09 million, while Forrest has 960,000.
