Darryll Fish Swims Upstream

Darryll Fish pushed all in from the button preflop and got called by both the small blind and a player who limped from middle position.

When the flop came {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, the small blind then moved in for 12,800 more and got the call. Before the turn, Fish turned to Jesse Rios who was sitting nearby and said, "I'm going to rub your head for luck."

It apparently worked as the turn brought the {A-Hearts} and the river the {2-Spades}.

When the hands were revealed, Fish took the main pot with {Q-Clubs}{A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, which gave him trip aces. The small blind took the side pot with {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}Kc}{5-Clubs} while the the final player got chopped up after showing {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

With that hand, Fish tripled up to 33,000.

When the board finished {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Baron's flopped straight held up and he pushed his stack to 18,000.

Easy Come, Easy Go for Stoltz

David Chiu
David Chiu
A few hands after eliminating Phil Hellmuth, Mikey Stoltz got involved with David Chiu.

Chiu checked a flop of {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Stoltz bet out 1,600. Chiu then check-raised to 4,800 at which point, Stoltz reraised all in. Chiu made the call and the hands opened.

Stoltz: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Chiu: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

When the turn and river brought the {10-Diamonds} and {Q-Clubs}, Chiu hit Broadway and took the pot. He now has 33,000.

Hellmuth Hits the Rail

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth may have gotten a little too eager in a heads-up pot against Mikey Stoltz.

Stoltz was first to act after a flop of {K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and was contemplating his action when Hellmuth said "Alright, I call you," and pushed his chips into the middle before Stoltz had bet. Stoltz then put his chips in the middle after Hellmuth's action, and the hands were turned up.

Stoltz: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Hellmuth: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Both players had a flush draw, but Stoltz also had a wheel draw, which hit when the board completed with the {5-Spades} and {4-Spades}.

Stefan Rapp Gets Beat on the River

Mitch Mitchener raised to 4,000 from the cutoff and Stefan Rapp bet pot, pushing 14,000 into the middle. Mitchener tanked before making the call.

Rapp: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Mitchener: {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

When the board came {7-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Mitchener caught a straight draw. The {3-Spades} on the turn didn't help, but the {8-Clubs} on the river did, and Mitchener doubled up to 15,600.
