David Pham raised from early position with Doyle Brunson and Josh Arieh making the call out of the blinds.
They saw a flop of and action checked to Pham who fired a bet. Both opponents made the call.
They checked the on the turn before the landed on the river. Brunson led out with a bet from the small blind before Arieh raised it up. Pham folded and Brunson made the call.
Brunson showed for top two, but Arieh had got there on the river with his for a broadway straight.
Arieh leaps up to 82,000 with Brunson back to 17,500.
Things were looking kind of shaky for EPT Grand Final runner up Matt Woodward, but he's made a bit of a recovery.
He and Dario Minieri saw a flop and Minieri check-called a bet from Woodward. In fact Minieri check-called every street of the board, and Minieri mucked when Woodward showed him pocket tens for the straight to put him up to 27,500.
"Nice hand," said Minieri, "I called ace-high. Ace deuce."
"Really?" asked Woodward laconically.
"Not ace deuce," Minieri u-turned. "I'm just a fish."
Latest to bust out is recent Deuce-to-Seven bracelet winner Nick Schulman. Schulman was holding pocket sevens, but Erick Lindgren made a full house with mighty to send Schulman to the rail.
Liz Lieu raised and was met with a reraise from the button. The small blind called and back around to Lieu, she three bet. Calls from the button and small blind respectively led them three-way to the flop.
The small blind bet out and Lieu raised; Mr. Button got out of the way but the small blind called and they moved on.
Both players checked the turn, and when the small blind bet out on the river, Lieu called with just pocket -- and it was good! Her opponent could only boast , and Lieu is up to 19,000.
Toto Leonidas raised in late position and Phil Ivey three-bet from the small blind. Leonidas called and they saw an flop. Ivey bet out but Leonidas called and they saw a turn. This time Ivey checked and it was Leonidas' turn, if you'll pardon the pun, to bet. A fold from Ivey and he is left with just 8,500. Leonidas is not faring much better though -- that pot put him up to a still not great 13,000.
No fewer than six players made it to see a flop -- Justin Smith bet and got, er, five callers.
Come the turn Eli Elezra just open-folded; very interesting. Daniel Negreanu, Jerrod Ankenman and Steve Kim all checked to Justin Smith, who bet. The gent to his left passed, and back to Negreanu, who passed as well. Ankenman raised, though, and both Kim and Smith called. You following all this? Good.
The river was the and now Ankenman checked. Kim bet and both Smith and Ankenman called -- but mucked when Kim turned over for a runner-runner flush. Awesome.
We only have limited information but apparently a small verbal scuffle has just erupted between Greg Mueller and an unknown player who was slapped with a penalty as a result.
We believe Mueller's opponent was not overly impressed with Mueller's play and commented as such which led to a heated exchange.
Mueller called the floor and his opponent was given a one hand penalty. After displaying his displeasure at the penalty and persisting with the insults, the penalty was extended to one orbit as the player has now gone for a walk to cool off.
Erik Seidel raised from the cutoff and Gavin Smith decided to reraise from the button. The blinds folded and Seidel called.
They checked it through to the river on a board of where Smith fired out a bet and Seidel called. Smith tabled which was good as Seidel mucked. Smith chips up to 19,000.
