Bet and Ye Shall Come

Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised from middle position before Matt Glantz popped it from the big blind. Timoshenko made the call.

The flop fell {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Glantz led for 600 before Timoshenko raised to 1,200. Glantz made the call.

The {6-Clubs} was the turn card and Glantz checked to Timoshenko who fired again. Glantz made the call. The river was the {3-Clubs} and both players checked it down.

Glantz tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for the running nut flush to scoop the pot. He's up to his starting stack of 30,000 with Timoshenko down to 23,500.

Lindgren/Ivey Banter

There's a lot of table chatter going on between nearby tables featuring John Hennigan, Steve Zolotow, Erick Lindgren and Phil Ivey. It looks like Ivey is in the middle of it, perhaps setting the odds on winning a third bracelet in this event.

Lindgren: "So how many bracelets you won this year Phil?"

Ivey: "None in Hold'em. I've never won any in Hold'em. In fact I haven't even got close in Hold'em."

Lindgren: "You probably just got real unlucky Phil. You probably played real good."

Boeken to Go Broeken?

An interesting hand saw Noah Boeken raise preflop and get absolutely no respect but three callers instead, including his immediate neighbour Dario Minieri. Indeed Minieri was the only one of Boeken's opponent's left in by the river of the {3-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {9-Spades} {A-Clubs} board and Boeken check-called a bet from him -- but when Minieri turned over {A-Spades} {J-Spades}, Boeken shook his head and mucked.

Smith Predicts Webb Victory

Gavin Smith has an early tip for you...
Gavin Smith has an early tip for you...
David Webb raised from early position and Sami Kelopuro made the call in the big blind.

They took a flop of {K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Kelopuro checked to Webb who fired a bet. Kelopuro made the call. The turn was the {10-Spades} and Kelopuro checked before this time raising the bet of Webb who made the call. The river brought the {8-Clubs} and Kelopuro bet out with Webb calling.

Kelopuro showed {A-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flush draw that missed as Webb tabled top pair with {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

Webb is up to 45,000 with Kelopuro down to 38,000.

As we were counting the chips of Webb, Gavin Smith chirped up, "Don't worry about how much he has now, just know he will win the whole thing. You heard it first here. David Webb!"

Ho Not Happy

Maria Ho seemed very upset that as she is seated at what will probably be the last table to get broken, she will most likely be sharing a table with Erick Lindgren and Daniel Alaei for much of this tournament. But it's not because they're good players or she plain doesn't like them -- they apparently have a prop bet that sees the three of them losing $100 for every time they riffle their chips. It's like asking someone not to breathe for the rest of the day. Good luck to all three of them...
