2009 World Series of Poker
Event 33 - $10,000 World Championship Limit Hold'em
Day: 2
Old School Gets The Better of New School
Deeb led out with a bet and Brunson flat-called. The turn was a repeater and Deeb checked, Brunson bet and Deeb called.
The madness started on the river when the landed and Deeb led out with a bet. Brunson raised before Deeb put in a three-bet. Brunson was done yet, he put in a fourth bet as Deeb sighed and made the call.
Brunson tabled for a full house, kings full of deuces, to collect a huge pot. He's up to 115,000 as Deeb slips to 35,000.

Lars Loses
Duke raised from the button and got looked up by Kelopuro in the small blind to see a X flop. Kelopuro bet out, and Duke called. The on the turn made Duke the Broadway straight and the on the river failed to pair the board or anything like that -- a shame for Kelopuro, as he was holding pocket kings. Yikes.
The next hand Duke found again and she and Kelopuro saw an flop. Kelopuro's was never really going anywhere, even less so after a queen came down to make Duke her second Broadway straight in as many hands. Oops.
Fitoussi Quadruples
He's now up to 25,000 chips and back in business!

Brunson and Brunson Take On the Same Lady
Perhaps Brunson Jr was going easy on his dad, or perhaps he just really wanted Longfellow gone -- either way, the two Brunsons checked down the board and Brunson Jr revealed for a straight, cruelly outdrawing Longfellow's pocket queens. Brunson Sr mucked, and out went Longfellow.
Min-Shove for Minnulin
Nederland Represent
Meanwhile fellow Dutchie Michiel Brummelhuis, resplendent today in a hoodie emblazoned with lots of little birds in every colour of the rainbow, is doing less well -- he's down to 13,500 and is going to have to pull something impressive out of a hat if he's going to go much further in this.
Let Them Do Their Job
As the dealer was chopping up the huge pot, Nick Frangos offered some inaudible words of assistance to the dealer who was hastily doing his best to try to gather the chips into two even stacks.
The dealer finally snapped back saying "Every time you guys tell me what to do, it takes longer! Every time! Every time!" Point taken I'd say.
