Three-Way Raised Pot; No-One Hits Anything

Matt Hawrilenko raised his button and got zero respect from blinds Dan Shak and Chad Brown: they both called.

Flop: {9-Spades} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades}

Shak checked and Brown bet; both Hawrilenko and Shak called, and on they went.

Actually they checked down the {4-Clubs} turn and {A-Hearts} river before flipping their cards.

Shak: {Q-Spades} {J-Spades}
Brown: {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs}
Hawrilenko: {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

Astoundingly Hawrilenko's king-high was good to take the pot, and his stack swelled to 418,000.

Mueller's On a Boat

One gentleman who is possibly not enjoying his new seat too much is Daniel Alaei. He called a preflop raise from Greg Mueller and then check-raised the {4-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {A-Spades} flop. Mueller called and they both checked the {A-Hearts} turn, before Mueller bet out on the {10-Diamonds} river.

Mueller turned over {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} for a sneaky full house and Alaei mucked. Mr. Mueller is up to 160,000, while Mr. Alaei is down to 200,000.

Greenstein Gone

Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein
The stack of Barry Greenstein has finally been wiped out after Greenstein couldn't find another double up to save himself from elimination.

He picked up a big hand too, with his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} looking worthy of moving his last chips into the middle. However he found that he'd run into the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} of Steve Kim who took the goods on a board of {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Greenstein exits in 28th place as there will now be a brief pause as the players redraw for the final three tables of play.

Lex It Be

Lex Veldhuis got as many of his chips in preflop as the limits would allow, with both Maria Ho and Greg Mueller in the hand too. They saw an {A-Spades} {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} flop and checked it to Mueller who bet; Veldhuis called all in for his last 5,000, Ho passed, and they flipped the cards.

Veldhuis: {A-Hearts} {8-Spades}
Mueller: {Q-Spades} {J-Spades}

Veldhuis hit two pair when an eight came on the turn, leaving Mueller drawing dead. He doubled to 82,000 -- still in pretty bad shape, but still in...

Liu Succumbs

Serena Liu had been waiting patiently, nursing her small stack but she finally decided to make a stand and moved all 10,000 into the middle from under the gun. Ralph Perry put in a three-bet with Matt Glantz calling from the big blind.

The two live players then checked down the board of {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Liu showed {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} but Glantz took it down with his {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} to eliminate Liu from the tournament.
