It's Pezzin Down on Raines

Taylor Raines raised in late position and then called a reraise from Pat Pezzin in the cutoff. A flurry of raising and reraising saw him all in on the {4-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {3-Hearts} flop, and dreadfully behind, he busted shortly thereafter.

Raines: {2-Clubs} {2-Spades}
Pezzin: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}

Pezzin is sitting pretty on 250,000 after that.

Wahlbeck Doubles Up

Ville Wahlbeck stays in after doubling up to 68,000 through Phil Tom.

Wahlbeck got it in on the turn of a {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {K-Clubs} board, his {K-?} {J-?} by that point miles ahead of Tom's {Q-?} {9-?}. No re-binkage on the {8-Clubs} river and Wahlbeck won't be going home just yet.

Elezra and Lunkin Gone As Brunson Collects

Elezra and his hat are eliminated
Elezra and his hat are eliminated
Todd Brunson opened with a raise from middle position with Eli Elezra and Michiel Brummelhuis making the call before Vitaly Lunkin popped it up another bet from the big blind. Brunson and Elezra called but Brummelhuis thought better of it and folded.

The flop came down {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Lunkin led out with a bet with both opponents calling. On the turn the {k-Diamonds} fell and again Lunkin fired a bet with Brunson calling, and Elezra calling for the last of his chips.

The river brought the {J-Spades} and Lunkin check-called to Brunson who got in a value bet with his {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a straight as his opponents mucked.

Elezra was felted and Lunkin was crippled and eliminated from the tournament a few moments later.

Boatman Sails Away

We won't be seeing another Boatman brother at a final table just yet, as Barny has just been eliminated by the spiky spiky {6-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} of Steve Kim.

Boatman stuck it in with pocket {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} on a {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts} flop, and had to wait for the river for the outdraw that sent him to the rail.

Turn: {9-Clubs}
River: {6-Spades}

Kim is up to 255,000.

Greenstein Vs. Gromov

Greenstein - likes to do stuff in the dark
Greenstein - likes to do stuff in the dark
Nothing but sadness for Dmitry Gromov, who raised from the cutoff and was faced with a reraise from Barry Greenstein in the small blind. Gromov called, and with 15,000 of his chips in the pot and only 32,000 behind, he saw an {A-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {2-Hearts} flop. Greenstein actually bet out in the dark before the flop had been dealt -- and Gromov passed. He's in some very deep water now...

More Eliminations

They've been dropping away very quickly since the dinner break as we're now down to 41 players. Two more high profile players who have recently made quiet exits from the tournament are David Benyamine and Chino Rheem.
