Sometimes, One Pair Can Scoop

John Juanda (X)(X){K-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} (X)
David Benyamine (X)(X){9-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} (X)

John Juanda completed on third street and David Benyamine called. Juanda led out again on fourth and Benyamine came along. Juanda bet fifth street, Benyamine raised and Juanda called. Both players checked on sixth and seventh streets.

Benyamine showed {9-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} for only a pair of nines and no low. It was good, however, as Juanda mucked his hand. Benyamine is now up to 76,000.

Friedman and Andrzejewski Chop Up John

Pawel Andrzejewski, Perry Friendman, and David John were all involved in a big pot worth over 80,000 chips. When it was all said and done, Andrzejewski tabled a seven-high straight, which could also be played as his low. But, Perry Friedman spoiled his scooping action when he tabled a slightly better slow with a seven-six-four low. John couldn't beat either and mucked his hand, allowing the other two to chop up the pot.

Andrzejewski - 82,000
Friedman - 77,600
John - 45,600
