We'll See Cuu Later I'm Sure

Cuu Hoang has just rocketed up to 200,000 after eliminating two players in two consecutive hands. Both were pre flop all-ins. Hoang had {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} versus {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} in the first hand and the board ran {A-?} {6-?} {9-?} {6-?} {9-?}. The second hand he had {K-?} {K-?} versus {8-?} {8-?} that held also to add more chips to his now massive stack.

Armstrong is Stack Strong

John Monnette raised to 5,000 and Jamie Armstrong made it 14,600 from the blinds. Call

The flop was {A-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {J-Clubs} and both players checked, on the {J-Diamonds} turn, Armstrong checked again but called 16,000 when Monnette bet. A {Q-Clubs} came on the river and again both players checked. Armstrong showed {A-Hearts} {7-Spades} and Monnette just mucked.

Armstrong is on 130,000 now while Monnette drops to 85,000.

Sung Stings

Steve Sung is on about 90,000 after he cracked {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} with {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} after all the money went in preflop. A groan was heard throughout the room as the dealer put out a {J-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {A-Hearts} board as Sung quietly stacked the chips up.

Death Match

Eric Mizrachi and another short stack just did battle to the death. There was a raise all-in before Mizrachi moved in too for a little more. Everyone else folded so we were at showdown. Mizrachi had his adversary dominated with {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} to {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}.

The board ran {8-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {5-Clubs}. Mizrachi up to 25,000 now but still desperately short.

Powell...Or Possibly Not

There Will Be 3-Betting...
There Will Be 3-Betting...
The debate on table 183 in the Brasilia room is whether Jack Powell looks like the actor Paul Dano, best known from Little Miss Sunshine and There Will Be Blood.

Make up your own minds...

Zach Attack

JC Tran is a raising machine right now but he has a few big stacks at his table so some caution is needed too. In this hand he raised up from mid-position and found a caller from the big blind before the flop came down {7-Spades} {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}. It was checked to Tran who bet 5,000, call. The turn {10-Spades} saw the BB check-raise Tran’s bet to 30,000. Tran called before they both checked the {10-Spades} river.

Tran on 175,000 after, whereas the BB player, Zach Melaney’s up to 260,000.

Mi-Gone

Bryan Micon is out after pushing {J-?} {6-?} from the cutoff but got looked up by one of the blinds who was holding {A-?} {10-?}.

Jonathan Tamayo and Tony Ma have also been eliminated.

Boeree Busto!

Walkin' On Out Of Here...
Walkin' On Out Of Here...
Liv Boeree is out after she pushed over the top for 17,000 with {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} against an early position raise to 5,000. The raiser made the call with {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} and won the flip against her when the board came {A-Clubs} {10-Spades} {Q-Spades} {7-Spades} {8-Hearts}.
