Huge Hand!

Daniel Carter is now on the rail
Daniel Carter is now on the rail

Daniel Duong raised to 38,000 preflop only to have Daniel Carter move all in for 544,000. Much to the table's surprise, David Baker called all in for 532,000.

Duong was clearly perplexed and contemplated making the call, but opted to fold and showed his {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The other two players turned over their cards:

Carter: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Baker: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

When the flop came {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, Duong walked away from the table in disgust. He would have made three kings and been in great position to triple his stack. Instead, it was Baker who was in the lead and looking to double his stack through Carter.

The {6-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing. The table watched anxiously as the {4-Spades} hit on the river. Baker shot up near the top of the chip counts with 1.2 million. Carter was left with a mere 12,000.

Needless to say, Carter was eliminated the very next hand.

Thomas Makes Great Call To Double

With the action folding round to Daniel Thomas in the small blind, he fired out a raise to 49,000.

Matthew Vance announced he was all in for in-excess of 300,000 as Thomas went deep into the tank.

After nearly three minutes, Thomas made the call for his 261,000 and we were off to a showdown.

Vance: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Thomas: {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The board of {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} would see Thomas double through to 530,000 as Vance was left with just 45,000 in chips.

Duong vs Han

Duong and Han
Duong and Han

Daniel Duong made a small raise preflop from the small blind and Kyung Han made the call from the big blind. There was about 85,000 in the pot when the flop came {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Both players checked to the {J-Diamonds} on the turn. Duong checked and Han bet 40,000. Duong made the call and they saw the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Once again, both players checked.

Duong sheepishly turned over {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for middle pair. Han hesitated, checked his cards, and then mucked. Duong is up to around 400,000 while Han is running low at 160,000.

Jiles Four-Flushed Out

Mats Gavatin open-jammed and Jon Jiles made the call for his tournament life.

Gavatin: {A-Diamonds}{4-}
Jiles: {A-}{J-}

The flop brought both a jack and a four, but also three diamonds, and when the fourth one fell on the river, Jiles hit the rail.

Castelo Crunch'd

The gorgeous Carla Castelo is now on the rail
The gorgeous Carla Castelo is now on the rail

Daniel Thomas opened to 35,000 from the cutoff and Carla Castelo three-bet all in for just over 95,000. Thomas made the call and we were off to a showdown.

Castelo: {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Thomas: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Castelo the board rolled out {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts} to put Castelo on the rail.

Jeremy Defrande opened to 32,000 from under the gun only to have Christopher Brammer three-bet to 77,000.

With the action on Mostafa Jamasbi, he moved all in for 316,000, and once Defrande folded, Brammer made the call.

Jamasbi: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Brammer: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board rolled out {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} to see Jamasbi eliminated as Brammer soars to 1,330,000 in chips.
