A nice four-way triple draw pot has boosted Kirk Morrison up to near the top of the counts. Ralph Perry got things started by raising from under the gun. Mike Matusow called from the button before James Van Alstyne and Kirk Morrison both called from the blinds. Van Alstyne took two, Morrison took three, Perry drew one and Matusow drew two.
After the drew action checked to Perry, who bet. Everyone called again. On the second draw the players drew two, one, one and two respectively. After that draw, Morrison led into Perry. Perry's raise forced Matusow and Van Alstyne out of the hand. Morrison was the only caller, and he was pat on the last draw. Perry drew one, but paired 7s. Morrison's 8-6-4-3-2 was the winner after both players checked to a showdown.
Morrison now has about 360,000 while Perry is down to 120,000.
Carlos Mortensen probably wishes he had just sent presto into the muck. But he didn't - he raised it pre-flop, then called a three-bet from the "godfather of poker", Doyle Brunson. Mortensen then check-called a single bet on a flop of .
On the turn it seemed like there would be no end to the raising. Brunson managed to put the fifth bet in after a series of raises. Mortensen called, then check-called one last bet on the river. Brunson turned over , a set of jacks. He caught a great flop against Mortensen, who flashed , a set of fives, before mucking.
Brunson now has 390,000 chips. Mortensen is down to 120,000.
Jeff Lisandro opened from middle position and Amnon Filippi caled from late position. Lisandro led out on the flop, Filippi raised and Lisandro called. Both players checked the on the turn. When the hit the river, Lisandro bet and Filippi made the call.
Lisandro showed for the nut flush and scooped the pot, taking his stack up to 232,000. Filippi is still near the front of the pack, however with 315,000.
Jason Mercier opened for 4,400 from middle position and Mike Gorodinsky three-bet to 13,000 from the button. Mercier called and they saw a flop. Both players checked. The turn was the and Mercier check-called another 11,200 from Gorodinsky. Mercier checked the on the river and Gorodinsky bet 30,000, sending the Team PokerStars Pro into the tank.
After a long think, Mercier gave up his hand, and Gorodinsky took down the pot, increasing his stack to 250,000. Mercier is down to 105,000.
Pot-Limit Omaha continues to be the game that is making or breaking most of these players. John Juanda raised a PLO pot before the flop to 6,000. Ted Lawson, sitting behind Juanda, was the only caller.
Juanda furrowed his brow on a flop of before betting 13,000. Lawson quickly raised pot, to 54,000. The raise put Juanda in a tough spot.
"You have more than me, right?" said Juanda. It was very close. "Gamble or discipline," he said with a smile. Mike Matusow laughed.
After another minute of thought Juanda moved all in and Lawson quickly called.
"Three kings?" Juanda asked. But Lawson did not have three kings. He had a partial wrap draw with . Juanda showed three queens, . The board blanked out and to secure the pot for Juanda.
After counting down the stacks, Juanda doubled to 278,000, while Lawson was left with just 1,700 chips. Lawson tripled up on the next hand but couldn't hold on. When the game switched to triple draw he busted to Mike Matusow.
Joe Monroe raised from middle position, Barry Greenstein called on the button, and David Singer came along in the big blind. After the flop full of delicious low-draw goodness, Singer checked, and Monroe bet. Greenstein stuck in a raise, and Singer folded while Monroe called. The turn brought the , and both players checked. Monroe when back to betting after the on the river, and Greenstein called, only to muck when he saw Monroe's for nines and eights and an 8-7 low. Monroe moved up to 220,000, getting closer to Greenstein's 224,000.

Michael Mizrachi opened for a raise from middle position, Erick Lindgren reraised from the button, David Benyamine four-bet from the small blind and both Mizrachi and Lindgren called. Benyamine bet out on the flop, Mizrachi raised, Lindgren let go of his hand and Benyamine called. Benyamine check-called a bet from Mizrachi when the hit the turn, then check-raised when the fell on the river.
Mizrachi called and turned over , but Benyamine had rivered his two-outer, spiking a set with . He's up to 165,000 while Mizrachi is down to 181,000.
Brian Hastings was all in preflop after some three-way betting action between himself, Nikolay Evdakov, and Ted Forrest. The flop came , and Evdakov checked from the small blind. In the big blind, Forrest bet, and one bet was enough to chase Evdakov out of the pot. Time to flip 'em. Hastings showed , but Evdakov's had him in bad shape. The turn and river were no help, and Hastings hit the rail. Forrest is sitting on around 160,000.
There was only one woman that started in this field of 116 players. Now there are no women in the field. Jen Harman led a flop of , then put her last chips in with a three-bet after Cole South raised and Carlos Mortensen called the raise. South four-bet behind Harman's all in and Mortensen called again.
South bet the turn and the river. Mortensen called both times, then mucked for the side pot when South showed down for a rivered wheel. Harman couldn't beat that for the main pot, flashing before mucking her hand and heading for the exit.
