Despite starting the day with only 20,000 in chips, Evdakov just keeps doubling up to stay alive, his most recent chip infusion coming in the Stud 8 round. In a hand against Eugene Katchalov, Evdakov made a wheel on sixth street to scoop, taking his stack up to 95,000.

Mike Gorodinsky opened for a raise with pocket nines and Joe Serock set him all-in with a three-bet from the big blind. Gorodinsky called, his pair in great shape against Serock's . However, a spade hit the flop, another came on the turn, and a third hit the river, Serock delivering the KO with a runner-runner flush.

Alaei had the bring-in, Morrison completed, Singer raised, Zolotow reraised, Ivey called the three bets, Alaei folded and both Morrison and Singer called. Zolotow made the low board on fourth street and led out. Ivey and Morrison called, but Singer raised. Zolotow reraised, Ivey and Morrison called, Singer reraised again, Zolotow made it four bets and everyone called. On fifth street Zolotow paired his ace and Singer led out. Zolotow and Ivey called but Morrison folded. Singer led again on the river, Zolotow folded and Ivey called.
It was around this time when Eli Elezra realized that instead of playing Razz, their table should have switched over to stud high three hands before. However, since the hand was already in progress, Razz it would be for the rest of the hand.
Tuan Le is the latest to join the rail after the last of his chips went into the middle and never returned during a hand of Stud-8 against Justin Smith.
Le started with four to a low, and was all in on fourth street, only to make two pair, which wasn't enough to overcome Smith's trip jacks.
Steve Billirakis and George Lind have joined Sorel Mizzi and Barry Greenstein on the rail within the last few minutes. Lind's beat was especially brutal-- he made a straight on fifth street in stud and got the last of his chips in, but ran into quads.

Vladimir Schmelev brought it in with a ten and David Steicke completed the betting. Schmelev made the call and then led out on fourth. Steicke raised and Schmelev called. On fifth, the action went check, check, before Steicke came out swinging on sixth. By the time the river was dealt, both players were happy to check it down and see who had what.
It was Steicke who revealed his cards showing () for a modest ten-eight-low but it was good as Schmelev mucked his cards.
Schmelev slips to 370,000 with Steicke moving up to 235,000.
Sorel Mizzi came into today with a back-up plan. With only a 36,000-chip stack in the $50K, Mizzi decided to register for Day 1B of Event #3, $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em. He built up an 8,000 stack over in the Pavillion before heading down the hall to take care of business here in the Amazon Room.
Mizzi met his end on a Razz hand, putting his last chips in on third street against Doyle Brunson. Brunson made a T-6-3-2-A low, besting Mizzi's J-9-7-4-A.
"Go play hold'em," Lyle Berman said as Mizzi made his exit.
After taking a hit in the previous hand, Justin Bonomo then found himself all in during Razz. It took until seventh street for his last chips to enter the pot against Abe Mosseri who made the call.
Bonomo tabled a powerful () () which was too strong as Mosseri mucked showing . Bonomo is now up to 120,000.
