Boeken Crippled, Then Doubles

On a flop of {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} Noah Boeken checked to Steve Chanthabouasy who fired out 1,200. Boeken check-raised to 2,400 and Chanthabouasy quickly three-bet to 3,600 with Boeken smooth-calling.

Boeken check-called a 2,400-chip bet from Chanthabouasy when the {K-Clubs} landed before check-raising to 4,800 over Chanthabouasy's 2,400-chip bet when the river fell the {10-Clubs}.

Tabling his {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Boeken would launch from his chair in disgust at the sight of Chanthabouasy's {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} as the Dutchman slipped to just 5,000 as Chanthabouasy climbed to 108,000 in chips.

The following hand however, Boeken would manage to find a double through David Baker.

Boeken held {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to Baker's {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} with the board running out {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} to see Boeken find a double back to over 11,000 in chips.

Baker Flush With Chips

Phil Gordon limped in from the small blind, and David Baker raised from the big. Gordon called, and the two men took a suited flop of {2-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Gordon check-called a bet, and he check-raised on the {9-Hearts} turn. Baker called, and he led out with a final bet on the {7-Clubs} river. Gordon made the last call, and Baker tabled {J-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} for the flush.

It was good; Gordon mucked, and the pot goes to Baker.

Baker - 93,000
Gordon - 44,000

Glantz Goes Away

Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

Matt Glantz was all in with his short stack and {K-Clubs} {5-Spades} against Alexander Queen's {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} before the flop. The dealer refused to give Glantz any help, running out a board of {J-Spades} {J-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}. No chop, no pot, and now no chips for Glantz; his day is down.

Queen - 110,000

Vitaly Lunkin opened to 2,400 from the button and was called by Eduardo Miranda before [Removed:113] three-bet from the big blind to 3,600.

Both Lunkin and Miranda made the call before [Removed:115] bet and raised his last 3,400 into the pot on the {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop against Lunkin.

[Removed:115]: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Lunkin: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The turn and river landed the {6-Diamonds} and {A-Hearts} to see [Removed:115] hit the rail as Lunkin climbed to over 47,000 in chips.

Lind Legged

Lind bites the dust
Lind bites the dust

George Lind found himself all in on a board reading {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} against Casey McCarrel.

Lind: {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
McCarrel: {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Unfortunately for Lind the river was unable to drop a diamond, jack, four or deuce to see him eliminated from the tournament as McCarrel climbs to 60,000 in chips.

Danilyuk Sets Up On Buchanan

On a flop of {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} Shaun Buchanan checked over to Andrey Danilyuk who fired out a bet of 1,200. Buchanan check-raised to 2,400 and Danilyuk made the call to see the {A-Clubs} fall on the turn.

Buchanan checked, Danilyuk fired out 2,400 and Buchanan called before leading for his own 2,400 when the river landed the {J-Hearts}.

Danilyuk made the call tabling his {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} to best Buchanan's {A-Spades}{4-Spades} to see him slip to 24,000 as Danilyuk climbs to 35,000 in chips.

Bonomo Binks a Diamond

J.C. Tran raised from late position, and Justin Bonomo called out of the big blind, heads up to the flop.

It came {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}, and Bonomo checked. When Tran bet, he check-raised, and Tran called the extra bet.

Fourth street was the {6-Diamonds} and fifth street the {2-Hearts}, and Tran called bets from Bonomo on both streets. We never got to see his cards; Bonomo tabled {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} for the winning diamond flush, moving his way back up to 50,000.

Tran - 61,000

Lindgren Straightens Out Vitch

The action folded round to Christopher Vitch in the small blind and he raised it up to 2,400 with Erick Lindgren making the call.

Vitch fired out 1,200 on the {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop and Lindgren made the call before both players checked the {K-Clubs} on the turn.

The river landed the {Q-Diamonds} and Vitch checked to Lindgren, only to see him fire out 2,400.

Vitch took his time shuffling chips in one hand while holding his cards tightly in the other. He grabbed the necessary chips to make the call and tossed them into the pot, only to be shown Lindgren's {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

"I couldn't beat either of your cards" stated Vitch as he mucked and slipped to 109,000 while Lindgren climbs to 17,000 in chips.

"The Team" is Thinning Out

The elimination of Greg DeBora has taken away half of our remaining contingent of Team PokerStars Pro. Their hopes now lie with the Dutchman Noah Boeken and his middling stack of 38,000.

George Lind is also still alive, representing PokerStars Team Online, though his stack is struggling down around 21,000.
