Jeffrey Tebben raised under the gun to 50,000 before Frederic Bussot re-raised from the hijack position for all of his 190,000 chips. Tebben made the call.
Tebben:
Bussot:
The board landed in a nice little drama-filled sweat to leave Bussot on the raw end as he's eliminated in 15th place for $23,384.
The chips are flying now as the players are swinging all over the place. David Cai is the latest to double up after making the call from the big blind for his tournament life after Jaymes Rosenthal open-shoved the button.
Rosenthal:
Cai:
Cai was in a dominant position and it stayed that way on the board. Cai doubles to 635,000 with Rosenthal back down to 230,000.
Gordon Johnson was all in with but had to dodge the of Greg Pohler in order to double up. The flop wasn't exactly what Johnson wanted to see. The on the turn missed Pohler's flush draw, but Johnson couldn't dodge it twice. The on the river gave Pohler the nut flush and sent Johnson to the payout desk in 16th place.
Johnson, who goes by "G-Money" earned $18,471 for his second WSOP cash. Pohler, on the other hand, is looking for a whole lot more with his 1.36 million stack.
Action passed to Dennis Murphy on the button and he moved all in for his last 230,000 with Eugene Castro making the call for slightly less in the big blind.
Murphy:
Castro:
Great call by Castro and he was looking good for the double up until the board ran out to pair up Murphy's kicker and leave Castro to make the sombre trek to the cashier. Hopefully $18,471 will ease the pain.
It didn't take long for us to have our first bustout following the redraw to the final two tables.
Conrad Monica was all in for his tournament life with against the of Blake Kelso.
Monica looked set for a double up when the first four cards fell but the fell on the river like a dagger through the heart of Monica to send him to the rail in 18th place. He makes the pay jump to $18,471.
