Brown Takes One Down

Jae Hwang opened for 25,000 in mid position only for Cory Brown to make it 61,000 to go from the button. It folded back around to Hwang, who four-bet another 71,000 on top. Brown called, and they saw a flop.

Flop: {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Hwang bet out 65,000, and Brown promptly went all in to cover him. Hwang called all in, and they turned their cards over.

Poker can be a funny old game.

Hwang: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for an overpair
Brown: {8s){9-Hearts} for trips

Turn: {7-Diamonds}

River: {6-Spades}

Hwang hit the rail, and Brown moved into the lead on 800,000.
