Stoeffler Exits

Manuel Davidian raised preflop from middle position with Dieter Stoeffler committing all his chips from the big blind to make the call.

Davidian: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Stoeffler: {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Stoeffler didn't exactly have a powerful hand to work with, but picked up a gut-shot straight-draw on the {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and kept Davidian out in front where he would stay through to the end when the river came {4-Clubs}.

Davidian is now at 440,000 and we are headed to two tables.

Busse Gives Noble Effort

David Forster raised all in for 73,000 from the cutoff only to have Wenlong Jin re-shove for 175,000. Shawn Busse was in the big blind and called.

Forster: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Jin: {j-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Busse: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

We thought we might see a double elimination, but it wasn't to be as the board ran out {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} giving Jin a flush, Forster a full house and Bussee's aces were the worst of the three.

Beasley: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Ikonen is now up 360,000 chips. Beasley slipped 280,000.

A Chip and a Chair

Jon Lactaoen recently lost a big hand against Dieter Stoeffler and was down to just one chip worth 1,000. It looked like he was doomed, but won his next hand to get up top 7,000. On the hand after that he was all in with Manuel Davidian and Paulus Valkenburg both calling.

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Spades} as Valkenburg and Davidian checked it down.

Davidian showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} and Valkenburg mucked. But Lactaoen tabled {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and is now up to 28,000!

Not Quite Forever Young

Justin Young was under the gun when we went all in for 160,000. Owen Crowe was next to act and raised in a successful isolation attempt.

Young: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Crowe: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Crowe didn't need to improve his hand, but he did just that when the flop came {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Spades} followed by the {q-Clubs} on the turn and the {j-Diamonds} on the river.

Crowe is now at 1,540,000 and we are down to 19 players.

The Short-Stack Swap

Jon Lactaoen had 83,000 in front of him when he shoved preflop, getting called by Dieter Stoeffler, who only had 41,000.

Lactaoen: {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Stoeffler: {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Lactaoen managed to find a pair on the {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop, but Stoeffler soon pulled ahead with the {a-Diamonds} on the turn, and picked up trips with the {a-Clubs} on the river.

No More Riesenberg

In early position, Owen Crowe opened the pot with a 27,000-chip raise. Jason Riesenberg called from the hijack seat.

The flop ran out {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Crowe fired a 45,000-chip bet, Riesenberg called.

The turn card was a {5-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was a {7-Clubs} and Crowe fired a 150,000-chip bet. Riesenberg moved all in for about 460,000 chips and was called.

Showdown
Crowe: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Riesenberg: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

White Keeps Climbing

Adam White has gained a a chip lead of close to 1,000,000 on his nearest competitor. In this last hand Justin Young raised to 28,000 in early position and White called from the button with Allan Baekke coming along from the big blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Baekke checked to Young, who bet 53,000. White called, and Baekke folded.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Young checked to White, who bet 75,000 with Young making the call.

We got to see the {8-Clubs} on the river and Young once again checked to White, who bet 125,000. Young tanked for a while and eventually called.

White showed {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for two pair, which led Young to say, "I talked myself into the worst call ever."

White is now up to 1,640,000 while Young has fallen to 215,000.
