After a recent dealer change, Phil Hellmuth announced to his table that he will have 500,000 by the end of the level. "The old dealer was unlucky," Hellmuth explained.
It'll take a lot for Hellmuth's prediction to come true, especially considering there is less than ten minutes remaining in the level and he only has 96,000.
The floor was called to Table 375 where it was discovered that the button had been moved one too many spots. However, there has been a couple folds and Brian Haveson had raised to 10,000. The floor ruled that there had been too much action and the hand would play out.
Action folded around to Bobby Shasta in the small blind who pushed all in for 57,400. Haveson made the call and turned over . Shasta held the and was in trouble when the flop came .
Shasta needed one of the two remaining tens in the deck to stay alive. The hit on the turn and Haveson was visibly stunned. The on the river gave Shasta the double up.
When the chips were counted out, Haveson was left with only 400 chips, enough for a single ante. The old adage of a chip and a chair didn't hold true for Haveson as he was eliminated a few hands later.
Kevin Howe raised to 8,000, and James Hannah was the lone caller. Howe bet out 10,000 after the flop came , and Hannah bumped it up to 30,000. Howe then moved all in for 122,800, and Hannah decided he had to call. Howe was miles ahead with for flopped middle set, while Hannah's was drawing mighty slim. The turn gave Howe four jacks to sweat, but the river was the safe , doubling him to 265,000. After losing the huge pot, Hannah fell all the way back to 50,000.
Jesse Yaginuma raised in early position, and Cliff Josephy shoved his last 28k in from the blinds. Yaginuma called with to flip with Josephy's . The flop wasn't what JohnnyBax would have liked, and with no help from the turn or river, he was sent packing. Yaginuma is back to his previous stack with around 137,000 after losing a big pot a few minutes ago.
Timothy Milliron raised to 7,000 from middle position and was called by Nicholas Heather in the cut off. William Daymond then moved all in for 1,700 more. Phil Hellmuth, who was in the big blind, made the call as did Milliron and Heather.
The flop came . Milliron checked, Heather bet 16,000, Hellmuth folded and so did Milliron.
When the cards were revealed, Milliron was ahead with against Daymond's . The on the turn changed nothing but the gave Daymond the pot and brought his stack up to 39,000.
Louis Crispino raised to 8,700 in early position, and Steven Warwick shipped it in for 22,400. Then Matthew Stern reshoved for slightly more, 27,000 total. Crispino ran for cover, and it was time to flip 'em. Stern's had Warwick's covered, but after the flop, Warwick was feeling pretty safe. The on the turn put him back in danger, but the on the river was not enough to best Warwick's flopped set. He doubled to 60,000, and Stern was left crippled with 5,000.
Stacey Nutini shoved for 17,200 on the button and the small blind folded. Jason Sackler, who was in the big blind, joked, "This would be the second time I doubled her up."
Sackler made the call and showed , which was ahead of Nutini's .
The board ran out and Nutini was eliminated. Sackler is now up to 95,000.
Table 361 is home to Steve Sung, Phil Hellmuth, Danny Wong, Nicholas Heather and Timothy Milliron. It wouldn't be surprising to see some fireworks at this table.
Sam Dickson raised under the gun to 8,000, and Jesse Yaginuma called. the flop came , and Dickson bet 18,000. Yaginuma flatted to see the bring a fourth spade on the turn. Dickson bet 20,000 this time, and Yaginuma called again. the river was the , pairing the board, and Dickson moved all in. Yaginuma finally gave up on the expensive hand, dropping to 110,000. Dickson chipped up to 220,000 without having to show a card.
