Where There’s a Ville, There’s a Way

Wahlbeck: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} / {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Hastings: {X-}{X-} / {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} / {X-}

We caught up with the action on fifth where Brian Hastings bet and Ville Wahlbeck called. The action was the same on sixth but on seventh, Hastings check-called Wahlbeck’s bet. Wahlbeck showed two pair which was good as Hastings mucked and Wahlbeck continued to climb towards the top of the leaderboard.

Bear Doubles Through Master

We just found Barry Greenstein all in and at risk against Men Nguyen. Barry held a pair of 10s plus a flush draw and inside straight draw going into seventh while Nguyen had two pair, sevens and fives. Greenstein squeezed a three to give him two pair, 10s up. Nguyen couldn’t fill up as he squeezed the {A-Hearts} which gave Greenstein the double up and avoided him having to sign a copy of his book off to Nguyen.

Luneau Expedition

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Jim Paluszek: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} / {x-}
Alexandre Luneau: {x-}{x-} / {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} / {x-}

Alexandre Luneau made it two bets after Jim Paluszek had completed on third. Paluszek led out on fourth but once both players made open pairs it was Luneau who fired every street, Paluszek finally folding on seventh as the Frenchman who hit a one-outer yesterday to stay in this tournament picked up another pot.

Lindgren Wins Battle of Hastings

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Lindgren: {x-}{x-} / {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} / {x-}
Hastings: {x-}{x-} / {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} / {x-}

Erick Lindgren check-called a bet on fourth street before leading out fifth with Hasting making the call. Both players checked on sixth before Lindgren led out on seventh and Hastings made the call. Lindgren turned over {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for eights full and Hastings nodded and mucked.

Not Waiting For The World To Change

Seely: {X-}{X-} / {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts} /{X-}
Hennigan: {X-}{X-} / {9-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}/ {X-}
Sexton: {X-}{X-} / {2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} / {X-}

James Seely brought in, John Hennigan completed, Mike Sexton raised and the other two players called. On fourth it was checked to Sexton who bet and again both players called. Fifth got checked around and Hennigan bet on sixth once he paired. Seely called the bet while Sexton folded and Hennigan bet again on seventh which got Seely to fold as well.

Chau Time

Giang: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {x-}
Kostritsyn: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} FOLDED
Luneau: {x-}{x-} / {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} / {x-}

Chau Giang had the bring in which had Jason Mercier in hysterics since he'd apparently had it in six of the last eight hands. Kostritsyn raised to two bets and Alexandre Luneau made it three bets, Giang called, as did Kostritsyn.

Giang paired his door card and began firing, Kostritsyn folded but Luneau called bets on every street on for Giang to show him {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} on the end. Aces full invariably being good enough for the pot.
