Baldwin Busts Rodman

Blair Rodman
Blair Rodman

After a flop of {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Blair Rodman and Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin ended up all in.

Rodman: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Baldwin: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Rodman's set of aces would have to hold off the straight and flush draws that Baldwin's hand contained. The {2-Spades} on the turn changed nothing but the {7-Spades} on the river completed Baldwin's straight and sent Rodman to the rail.

Baldwin now has around 13,000.

Seiver Doubles

Catching the action with the board reading {J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} we found Frank Kassela leading out for 1,100 only to have Scott Seiver move the action up to 6,200. The third player in the hand potted, as Kassela folded before Seiver committed his final few thousand.

Seiver: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Opponent: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}

With Seiver in great shape to double, the river landed the {2-Clubs} to see Seiver double to 19,000 as Kassela announced he folded {5-}{4-}.

The Brat is Busto

Level 5 : 150/300, 0 ante

With the board reading {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and five players still in the hand, action checked to a player who bet 500. All the other players folded except for Phil Hellmuth who raised to 3,000. The other player then went all in and Hellmuth called.

Hellmuth: {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Hellmuth held the under-full house against the other player's trip queens. Unfortunately for Hellmuth the {j-Spades} fell on the turn giving his opponent a better full house. The {k-Spades} on the river couldn't save Hellmuth who was eliminated from the tournament.

Seiver Eliminated

After a flop of {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} the small blind checked and another player bet 2,100. Scott Seiver then raised to 10,500. The small blind called while the other player folded. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and the small blind bet 7,000. Seiver then went all in for his last 7,700 and the small blind called.

Seiver: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Seiver was ahead with a seven-high straight but the river brought the {4-Hearts} which gave Seiver a flush, but gave his opponent a full house and sent Seiver to the rail.

Chopped Aces, Barch Bests Baldwin

Level 5 : 150/300, 0 ante

Catching the action with Julian Powell making it 1,400 from the small blind, Eric Baldwin bumped it up to 6,000 from under the gun before Tex Barch potted to 20,000 from the button. Powell folded, but Baldwin committed his final few thousand.

Barch: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Baldwin: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board rolled out {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{10-Spades} to see Barch collect the pot with his ace-high flush as Baldwin was sent to the rail.
