Deeb And Moorman Banter

Shaun Deeb and Chris Moorman are two of the most prolific online tournament players of the last five years, and the two have been sitting next two each other all day today. We just walked in on a big pot in which Moorman lost a lot of his chips, but luckily he was still smiling after getting crippled.

"If you wanna know how much Moorman has just look at this stack," Deeb said as he showed us a stack of chips containing the exact amount his rival had left. During that hand the following happened.

The player on the button raised to 600 and Moorman opted to three-bet from the big blind to 1,675. The button tanked for a bit before moving all in for 9,825 and with a wry smile on his face Moorman threw in the chips.

Chris Moorman{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Opponent{A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

"Sixes again?," Deeb laughed at Moorman who couldn't keep a straight face himself. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} knocking Moorman all the way down to just 2,700.

"I should've just set mined," Moorman said and Deeb started laughing again.

"But you still have ten big blinds left now," Deeb added to the banter and Moorman replied instantly.

"That's why I called. I got a 'get out of jail free card!'," Moorman said.

Both players kept going at it, and Deeb had the amount of chips ready in order to snap his opponent of in the upcoming blind battle. The player on the button wasn't gonna waste his opportunity to raise and made it 700. Moorman checked his cards and, as expected, moved all in. Deeb enquired about the button's stack but opted to lay this one down.

The player on the button probably wasn't paying attention to what just had happened to Moorman as he said, "I probably can't even fold for that much". Deeb and Moorman both started laughing again as the young kid realized his button raise probably wasn't the best move considering Moorman's short stack. After a while he folded and Moorman added some much needed chips to his stack without showdown.

Before we ran back to our laptop Deeb told his chips mainly came from Moorman when he four-bet all in for 45 big blinds in a button-small blind clash. Deeb called off with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and doubled through, the hand you could've guessed, pocket sixes.

A Victory For Romanello and a Defeat for Mitrentsov

Mayu Roca raised to 600 in first position and Roberto Romanello called in the small blind. The action checked through to the turn on a board of {J-Spades} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} and Romanello check-called a 600 Roca bet. Onto the river, and the {7-Clubs}, and the same action ensued this time for 2,450. Roca tapped the felt and mucked his hand and Romanello showed {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for the win.

Yordan Mitrentsov just had an all-in encounter where he didn't fair too well. Mitrentsov was holding {7-Hearts} {7-Spades} and his opponent held {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}. The {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} meaning that Mitrentsov had to hand 12,600 chips to his opponent.

Langmann Finds Aces To Frustrate Romanello

We joined the action on the flop and it was a blind skirmish between Florian Langmann (SB) and Roberto Romanello (BB). The board would eventually run out {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {5-Hearts} and Romanello called off three-streets of Langmann value. The bet sizes were 1,700, 4,000 & 8,075 and Langmann won the hand showing {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}; Romanello mucked.

Freddy Deeb: Come Back And See Me in Two Days

Two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Freddy Deeb has started the day well, but with 34 WSOP cashes to his name the man is nothing but experienced.

"Come back and see me in two-days time," said Deeb when we commented on his good start.

Here is Deeb getting involved with the lesser experienced Mirza Nagji.

Nagji raised to 1,025 from the hijack seat, the cutoff called as did Deeb in the big blind. The flop was {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}, Deeb checked, Nagji bet 2,400, the cutoff folded and Deeb called. That was the end of the action as the {A-Clubs} and {J-Spades} were both checked through and Nagji won the pot with {A-Spades} {10-Hearts}.

Akkari Wins a Hand And Weisner is Eliminated

Andrew Akkari has dropped some chips since taking the early chip lead, but we have just encountered him winning a small pot. We joined the action on the flop of {A-Spades} {6-Spades} {J-Hearts} and Akkari check-called a 600 hijack bet from his position in the small blind. The {4-Clubs} on the turn was checked through before we saw the {7-Hearts} on the river. Akkari led for 1,150 and his opponent folded.

Meanwhile we have lost Melanie Weisner. The Heads-Up specialist jammed over a 900 raise for 4,000 and {A-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} and her opponent called with {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}. The board ran out {6-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} and Weisner was out.
