Brown's Kings are Good

We caught up to find three players eyeing up a flop of {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. An early position player checked to Chad Brown who bet out. Chris Winchester raised the action and the early position player tossed out a three-bet.

Brown looked over at his opponent and then back at his stack. Brown casually flipped a four-bet into the middle and both players called.

Fourth street was the {5-Clubs} and the early position player checked again. Brown bet out and was called once again by Winchester and the early position opponent.

The river was the {6-Spades} and we saw the early position player check for a third time. Brown bet out and Winchester called. The early position player got out of the way and Brown showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Winchester mucked and Brown was able to take down the pot.

Charania and Hsiung Battle Again

Mohsin Charania and Kenny Hsiung were heads up with the board reading {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Charania led out, Hsiung raised, and Charania called.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}, and Charania slowed down, check-calling a bet. The {q-Diamonds} completed the board, and Charania led out. Hsiung quickly called.

Charania tabled {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for top two, and Hsiung mucked his hand.

Ho Sends One Home

A middle-position player opened with a raise and Maria Ho three-bet the action. It folded back to the original raiser and he made a four-bet that Ho called.

The flop was {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Ho's opponent bet out. Ho raised him all in and he called. The hands were tabled:

Ho: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board was completed with the {7-Clubs} and the {J-Clubs} and Ho was able to reduce the field by one.

Barbieri Busts

Al Barbieri (Day 1) is eliminated.
Al Barbieri (Day 1) is eliminated.

Ken Weiner raised from early position Al Barbieri defended his big blind, and the flop fell {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Barbieri check-called a bet, and the turn was the {9-Diamonds}. Barbieri bet, Weiner raised, Barbieri re-raised, and before you knew it, the action was capped.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board, and Barbieri bet out. Weiner raised, and Barbieri unhappily committed his last bet.

Weiner tabled two black sevens for a full house, and Barbieri flashed {8-}{6-} for a turned straight before hitting the rail.

Negreanu Out Early

Daniel Negreanu came into play today needing to get something going early as he held only one big bet. Negreanu managed to find {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and get it all in before the flop. Negreanu was called by the big blind's {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades} pairing Negreanu's opponent while Negreanu retained his lead.

"Oh, don't do it to me," Negreanu said as he saw his opponent pair up.

Before Negreanu could even finish his sentence the dealer rolled off the {3-Clubs}, giving his opponent two pair. The {5-Diamonds} completed the board and just like that Negreanu was sent to the rail.

Negreanu was still jovial in exiting even in the face of this beat.

"I'm tweeting that one. That was funny," Negreanu said with a smile as he stood up from the table and headed out of the tournament area.
