Rettenmaier Gains an Early Edge

Marvin Rettenmaier made it 8,500 to go from the button, and Warwick Mirzikinian defended his big blind. The flop brought out {3-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs}, and the two men checked through to the {8-Clubs} turn. Now Mirzikinian led out into the pot with 30,000, and Rettemnaier called to see the last card.

It was the {8-Diamonds}. Mirzikinian slowed back down with another check, and Rettenmaier doesn't need to be told twice. He bet 46,500, and Mirzikinian called.

"Queen," Rettenmaier announced, showing up {Q-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. It was good, and it's give him an edge of about 200,000 chips as he climbs close to 900,000.
