Cheong Tries to Trap, Takes the Lead

Aubin Cazals opened to 30,000 with the button, and Joseph Cheong defended his big blind. The flop fell {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Cheong check-called 30,000 from Cazals. Both players checked when the {9-Hearts} turned, and after the {a-Clubs} completed the board.

Cazals showed {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for queen-high, but Cheong had aces-full with {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

The trap didn't work, but Cheong now has the chip lead.
