We've got the Numbers Hot Off the Presses

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

924 players entered this highly anticipated, star studded event, and 108 of them are going to walk away with a payday for their word. The first payout will be $4,183, and the top 30 will be walking away with five figures. The big number up top is $473,019, and sixth place at the final table will take home $57,282. We will be posting the rest of the numbers in the payouts tab shortly.

Negreanu and Hellmuth Rubbing Elbows

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Both Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu arrived late to this tournament, and they just so happen to be sitting at the same table, in seat four and seat five. Negreanu is down to about 5,500, while Hellmuth is at his starting stack. Sitting to the right of Hellmuth is Daniel Strelitz, who finished 24th in the Main Event last year. He has a monster stack of over 40,000, which is either really good or really bad for the poker superstars.

Strelitz Eliminates Hellmuth

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

No more then thirty seconds after we clicked live on the Phil Hellmuth Daneil Negreanu post, we saw Hellmuth stand up from his chair, and bid adieu to his table mates one at a time. We walked over, and Daniel Strelitz and Negreanu filled us in on what happened.

According to them, the flop came down {a-}{10-}{6-}. Strelitz bet out, and Hellmuth called. Strelitz then check called a bet when a {5-} hit the turn, and the river was an {8-}. From there, Strelitz proceeded to check shove on the river, putting Hellmuth to a decision for all his chips. Hellmuth called with {a-}{5-} for two pair, but Strelitz showed {a-}{6-} fora better flopped two pair.

After scoring that knockout, Strelitz appears to be the chip leader in the room with 52,000.

He Can't Help But Show It

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Dario Minieri min-raised to 400 under the gun. The next player min-raised that bet to 800 and a player on the button called. Minieri called and they all saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and it checked to the button who bet out 900. Minieri check-jammed to 3,500. A fold from the initial raiser and the button also folded.

Minieri wanted to show. {10-Spades}{5-Spades} It was so bad that it gave all the players at the table a good laugh. Mineri is now up to 8250.

Silvia Applying Pressure

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante
Jesse Sylvia
Jesse Sylvia

Last year's main event runner up Jesse Silvia was in the middle of a three way pot when we got to the table. The flop read {k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Silvia checked to the big blind, who fired out 1,325. The cutoff called, and it was back to Silvia. He tanked for about a minute before cutting out raising chips, and eventually raised it up to 4,625. The big blind tanked for about two minutes before he begrudgingly folded, and the cutoff folded in half a second.

Silvia is one of our big stacks as we approach dinner with 36,000.
