Ma Doubles Again

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Calen McNeil raised under the gun, and Stephen Chidwick (button) and Tony Ma (big blind) called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, and Ma came out firing. Both players called. The turn was a {q-Diamonds}, and Ma bet his last 45,000. McNeil called, while Chidwick folded. Ma showed {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, and McNeil was drawing dead.

The once-crippled Ma has found new life after two doubles.

Up and Down for Brunson

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Todd Brunson lost a few chips since scooping John Monnette, but we just caught him winning a nice pot off Calen McNeil that has him back near 600,000. McNeil raised it up on the button, and Brunson defended his big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Brunson led right out. McNeil raised it up, and Brunson fired right back with a three bet. McNeil called, but he folded on the {7-Spades} turn after Brunson fired out again.

Brunson Scoops Monnette

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Todd Brunson raised the button, and John Monnette made the call from the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Monnette check-called. He then did the same on {6-Diamonds} and {3-Hearts}.

Brunson showed {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for jacks up and a live ace for low. Monnette swore as he got out of his seat and mucked his hand.

Ford Cripples Ma, who then Triples Up

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Tony Ma raised it up in early position, and Joe Ford made the call. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Ford checked to Ma, who fired out. Ford check raised it, and Ma came along. The turn brought the {q-Spades}, and Ford fired out again. Ma quickly called, and the river was the {8-Diamonds}. Ford fired out one more time, and Ma made the call.

Ford tabled {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for a full house, and Ma angrily mucked his hand, knocking him down to just 30,000. However, he was able up a few hands later, and is back to 105,000.

Hua Calls Brunson's Bluff

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Can Kim Hua raised from the cutoff, and Todd Brunson called in the big blind. The flop came down {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and both players checked. The turn brought the {8-Hearts}, and this time, Brunson fired out. Hua called, and Brunson bet out again when the scary looking {j-Diamonds} hit the river. Hua called, and Brunson said "just sevens." Hua tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a pair of aces, and it was good enough to take down the pot.

Brunson fell back to 305,000 after that, while Hua is up to 1.21 million.

Brunson's Flush Good

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Action folded to Joe Ford in the small blind, and he raised. Todd Brunson called him.

Both players seemed to like the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, because Ford's bet resulted in a raise from Brunson, and Ford came back with three bets. Brunson called. The turn came {8-Diamonds}, and Ford slowed down with a check. Brunson bet, and Ford called. The river was the {10-Diamonds}, and Ford again check-called. Brunson showed {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush. Ford flipped over {a-Diamonds} before mucking his hand.

Chidwick Doubles Through Brunson

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Todd Brunson raised it up in early position, and Stephen Chidwick three bet it next to act. Everyone else folded, and the betting was capped preflop, with Chidwick having barely less then a big bet left. The flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, and the rest of it got in the middle.

Chidwick: {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Brunson: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Brunson was looking for a heart to take the whole pot, or running low cards to take half, but the latter went out the window when the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn. The river was the {6-Spades}, and Chidwick's ace-king kicker played, giving him the full double up.

Hua's Boat Beats Monnette

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

John Monnette made it two bets in late position, and Can Kim Hua called from the big blind. The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and Hua bet out. Monnette called, and the turn was the {6-Spades}. Hua once again led out, and Monnette called again. The {10-Hearts} hit the river, and Hua once again led out. Monnette spent quite some time in the tank before ultimately tossing in the call.

Hua announced "full house" and showed {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for nines full. "Nice flop CK," is all Monnette could say as he mucked his hand, dropping him to 290,000.

Chidwick Doubles Again

Level 25 : 13,000/25,000, 0 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised under the gun, and John Monnette made it three bets from his immediate left. Everyone folded around to Chidwick, who four-bet the last of his chips.

Chidwick: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Monnette: {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}

A flop of {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades} gave Chidwick a flush draw, and a {q-Spades} turn locked in his double up.
