Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 20,000 on the button, Isaac Hagerling defended, and the flop fell {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Hagerling opted to lead out for 30,000, Ausmus called, and the turn brought a third heart - the {2-Hearts}. Hagerling led out for 75,000, Ausmus called, and the {8-Clubs} completed the board.

Hagerling emptied the chamber, firing a third and final bullet worth either 175,000 or 200,000, and Ausmus folded.

No. 3 Isaac Hagerling Advances to the Semi-Finals

Isaac Hagerling advances

Isaac Hagerling limped in on the button, Yevgeniy Timoshenko checked, and the flop fell {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Timoshenko checked, Hagerling fired out 25,000, and Timoshenko check-raised to 70,000. Hagerling called.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}, both players checked, and the river was the {q-Spades}. Timoshenko tanked for nearly two minutes then moved all in for 388,000, prompting Hagerling to break a smile. After a minute, Hagerling asked for a count, and one minute later he called.

Timoshenko rolled over {10-Hearts}{7-Spades} for ten-high, which Hagerling had beat with {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for trip nines.

"You played really good," Hagerling told Timoshenko. "I just made hand after hand."

"Really?" Timoshenko asked, genuinely surprised. "I thought you kept bluffing me. I couldn't make a pair."

Hagerling is going to take a quick 30-minute break, then return to play Jeremy Ausmus.

Call, Check, Bet, Fold

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Many patterns can be seen in the match between Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Isaac Hagerling. Take these two hands for example:

Hagerling limped in on the button. Timoshenko checked his option.

On the {5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} flop, Timoshenk checked to Hagerling who bet 25,000. Timoshenko folded.

In the hand right after that Timoshenko limped in on the button and it was Hagerling who checked his option.

On the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop Hagerling checked his option and Timoshenko was the one who bet 25,000. Hagerling folded and Timoshenko scooped the pot.

Chips are going back and forth between the two but Timoshenko seems to be making a little ground on Hagerling.

No. 8 Max Steinberg Advances to the Finals

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Max Steinberg - Advances to the championship
Max Steinberg - Advances to the championship

With the blinds at 6,000/12,000/2,000, Jason Koon raised to 25,000. Max Steinberg defended his big bind, and both players knuckled on a flop of {2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, Steinberg led out for 33,000, and Koon called.

The river was the {j-Clubs}, Steinberg led out for 75,000, and Koon folded.

The very next hand, Steinberg raised to 25,000 on the button, and Koon three-bet to 75,000. Steinberg four-bet to 165,000, Koon moved all in for 795,000, and Steinberg called.

Steinberg: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Koon: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Koon was in great shape to double and take the lead, but the {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop gave Steinberg jacks and nines. Koon was unable to catch up as the turn and river bicked {2-Spades}, {7-Hearts} respectively, and Steinberg will return tomorrow and battle it out for what would be his second career World Series of Poker bracelet.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 32,000 on the button, Isaac Hagerling called, and the flop fell {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Hagerling check-called a 32,000-chip bet, and both players checked when the {6-Hearts} turned. The river was the {9-Spades}, Hagerling led out for 90,000, and Timoshenko called.

Hagerling showed {6-Spades}{2-Hearts} for sixes and deuces, winning the pot.

A few hands later, Timoshenko limped in on the button. Hagerling raised to 46,000, Timoshenko moved all in, and Hagerling folded.
