More for Steinberg

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With the blinds at 5,000/10,000/2,000, Max Steinberg raised to 20,000 on the button. Jason Koon called, then check-called a bet of 15,000 on a flop of {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The two checked when the {9-Spades} turned, and the {j-Spades} completed the board. Koon led out for 55,000, and Steinberg quickly called.

Koon showed {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a pair of fours, but it was no good against Steinberg's {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of kings.

Timoshenko Moves In Again

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After a limp from Isaac Hagerling on the button, Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 40,000 from the big blind. Hagerling called.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Timoshenko led with a bet of 30,000. Hagerling called.

On the {J-Diamonds} turn both players checked to see the {3-Hearts} on the river. On that card, Timoshenko moved all in for his last 220,000 chips. Hagerling went into the tank but eventually settled on a fold.

Steinberg Extends Lead, Then Koon Gets Some Back

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After extending his lead a little more, Max Steinberg called a 16,000-chip raise from Jason Koon. Steinberg then check-called 22,000 more on a flop of {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and the pair checked when the {a-Clubs} turned. The {k-Clubs} completed the board, Steinberg checked a third time, and Koon fired out 50,000.

Steinberg called, the mucked when Koon showed {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a flush.

Hagerling Pulls Back Ahead

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Isaac Hagerling raised to 30,000 on the button and Yevgeniy Timoshenko called from the big blind.

The {K-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop was checked by both, resulting in the {J-Clubs} turn card. Timoshenko checked to Hagerling who bet 30,000. After about two minutes, Timoshenko raised to 75,000. A call from Hagerling landed the {7-Spades} river. Timoshenko bet 125,000 after a few moments.

Hagerling called and upon seeing Timoshenko's {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Hagerling tabled {J-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush to win the pot.

Timoshenko Shoves; The Stacks Even

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

At the time of this hand blinds for the match were 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante. From the button Yevgeniy Timoshenko opened to 20,000. Isaac Hagerling called from the big blind.

On the {3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop Hagerling checked to Timoshenko who bet 20,000. Hagerling reraised to 50,000. Timoshenko thought about it for a bit, then reraised to 120,000. Hagerling just called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Hagerling checked again. Timoshenko moved all in and Hagerling quickly folded.

"Seven?" Timoshenko asked after the hand. We aren't sure if he was referring to his hand or his chips stack. Either way Hagerling didn't answer.

Just a few hands after, Timoshenko opened to 20,000. Hagerling raised to 55,000. Timoshenko put in a fourth bet to 120,000 and Hagerling folded.
