Schneider Goes for Three

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Tom Schneider's 2nd Bracelet of 2013
Tom Schneider's 2nd Bracelet of 2013

At the beginning of level four, two new tables started play. Among the new faces are Maria Ho, David Sklansky, and Tom Schneider.

Earlier today, Schneider won his second bracelet of the 2013 World Series, the fourth of his career. Both his victories this year have come in H.O.R.S.E. events. We caught Schneider in conversation at his table in this event, telling his fellow players, "It's nice to play only one game."

"One Round Whammy Penalty!"

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Many of the players are paying much more attention to tonight NBA finals game rather than the actual poker being played. Cory Zeidman, while more famously known for getting a straight flush against Jennifer Harman or for winning a bracelet in last year's Event 4: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-Better, is one of those emotionally invested in tonight's basketball game.

We came over to Zeidman and Chad Brown's table to the sound of Zeidman yelling to the floor.

"I want this guy to get a one round whammy penalty," Zeidman explained to the dealer and the table. "He put a whammy on the heat. Will the floor get mad if I call him over here?" Zeidman asked the dealer.

"Probably not," the dealer explained.

Eventually the floor came over and Zeidman explained, jokingly, that he wanted the man to his right to get a "one round whammy penalty," for putting bad juju on his team. The floor just brushed it off and told the man to the Zeidman's right something to the effect of good job.

"Obviously he's just another hater," Zeidman said. "Of course he's gonna give you the 'atta boy and a pat on the back."

While all the shenanigans were taking place, Zeidman completed a bet with the {7-Diamonds} showing and was able to take down a pot on third street.

"I don't even have money on tonight's game," Zeidman explained. "I'm just rooting as a ran. Remember when you were a kid and you used to root as a fan?"

Plenty of Extras Being Given Away At This Year's WSOP

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Farewell Van Der Fluit

Vincent Van Der Fluit was recently removed from the field. We didn't catch the bracelet winner's bustout hand, but we do know that he was one of the first to exit from the room. When we passed by his former table all we saw was his open seat with a seat card.
