Magician's Jacks Cracked

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

The flop read {2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and a player checked over to Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari. He fired out 1,375 and his lone opponent called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and it was once again checked to Esfandiari. The Magician moved 2,700 into the center of the table and once again his opponent stuck around. Fifth street was the {K-Diamonds} and Esfandiari was check-called for a third time. Esfandiari tabled {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} but was ultimately behind his opponent's rivered two pair with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

By taking this hit, Esfandiari's stack has dropped to around 14,000.

A Cooler Before the Break

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a board reading {k-}{10-}{j-}{6-} Andrew Dean heard some great news when his opponent announced himself all in. Dean was estactic because he insta-called with the nuts {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and for his opponent {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} was second best. His opponent could only hope for three Aces to chop. The river was the {9-} and Dean's opponent was sent packing. Dean now up to 40,000.

Somerville Out

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Action folded to Jason Somerville's button and he popped it up to 400. The big blind was his only caller and the two saw {9-Hearts}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts} hit the felt.

The big blind checked to Somerville who bet 500. Somerville's opponent quickly raised to 1,075 and Somerville stayed the course. The {9-Diamonds} paired the board on fourth street and Somerville's opponent put him all in. Somerville called for his last roughly 2,500 and showed {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Ultimately though, he was behind the {9-Spades}{7-Clubs} for trips held by his opponent. The river bricked out and Somerville was sent packing.

Frankenberger Cracks Aces

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We arrived at the table to find Andy Frankenberger pondering a call of an opponent's all in bet. It was 2,200 back to Frankenberger and he tossed out a call only to find that he was crushed.

Frankenberger: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Frankenberger vaulted right into the lead on the {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop and never released his grip on the hand as the {4-Hearts} turned and the {4-Spades} rivered. The two-time WSOP champion is now sitting on about 20,000 in chips.
