Senti Doubles Through Nguyen

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Soi Nguyen and Jason Senti are familiar foes.
Soi Nguyen and Jason Senti are familiar foes.

Soi Nguyen opened for a raise from the cutoff, and Jason Senti shipped it for about 22,000. Nguyen made what sounded like a reluctant call, and his fellow former November Niner turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

"You've got me crushed," Nguyen said, turning over {k-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Senti's hand held on the {6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board.

Mackey Hits Three-Outer

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

James Mackey shoved into an unopened pot for 41,300 from the cutoff, and the player on the button made the call. The big blind tanked before folding.

Mackey: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Button: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Mackey was in trouble, but he quickly flipped things on the {8-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. The player on the button seemed disgusted as he shipped Mackey the double after two kings finished out the board.

Koon Among Busted

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Toye Tips the Scales

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Dave D'Alesandro had the worst of it in a big pot for what seems like the first time in the tournament.

We found him calling a 15,000 bet from Bobby Toye on the turn of a {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board. After the {4-Diamonds} river, Toye shoved for some 45,000 and D'Alesandro made the call.

Toye showed {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the mortal nuts and D'Alesandro mucked.

Tepper Gets a River Raise Paid

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Robert Tepper raised to 27,800 after his opponent bet 12,800 on a board of {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}. The bettor made the call, and Tepper showed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set, good enough to beat his opponent's {q-}{j-} for two pair.

Senti Struck

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jason Senti just took a hit as {j-}{k-} off got there against {a-Spades}{7-Spades} all in preflop.

He's now nursing less than 35,000.

Dato Over 100K

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Andrea Dato bet 8,700 from the button after the big blind checked to him on a {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. The big blind called, and both players checked the {8-Clubs} and {4-Clubs}. The big blind tabled {a-}{q-}, but Dato had gotten lucky on the turn with {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. The former WPT champion has doubled his stack so far today.
