Double Me Up David

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

David Williams is starting to roll. He has just doubled up getting it in with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} vs {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs} and a smiling Williams counted his chips out to make sure he was getting what he was owed.

Keith Fedora

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Keith Ferrera is sporting a natty white fedora and it seems to be bringing him and his friends some luck. One of them had just survived an all in and returned the hat to Ferrera. It is certainly brining him luck as he has amassed a stack of 45,000.

“This fedora has so much value.” he said reclaiming the prized possession and placing it back on his head.

Akkari Hits Three Outer

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Andre Akkari was down to his last 4,375 chips and got it all in with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The initial raiser looked him up with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and sure enough the PokerStars Pro from Brazil got there on the {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts} river.

We Got Chips In Blue

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Goran Mandic called a bet of 1,600 on the three-way {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} flop before the initial raiser took down the pot with a 3,500 bet on the {J-Diamonds} turn. The Croatian is one of the bigger stacks in the blue section.

Funny Chop For Chow

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Michael Chow was all in pref-flop for all but one T25 chip and his opponent checked behind the {2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} flop. On the {4-Clubs} turn, Chow put the green chip in and was called by {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. "I knew you had a small pocket," the opponent said when Chow turned over {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The {9-Clubs} river provided a flush on the board and both players chopped the pot.

Kim and Get It

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

We can’t quite work out if Pok Kim is entertaining her table or driving them to despair. There are guffaws of laughter interspersed with requests for a drink of cyanide so it seems like a mixture of the two.

She had been steadily building a stack for most of the day but has just got a big double up without busting the player to her right. She is still gunning for the rest of his chips though promising him, “I’m gonna finish you in five minutes.”

Kim must now surely be among the chip leaders after that one huge hand.

Nitsche Rivers Straight

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Dominik Nitsche defended his big blind against a raise from early position and check-called 700 on the {9-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop. Both then checked the {7-Hearts} turn and Nitsche fired 1,700 on the {10-Diamonds} river. His opponent called quickly and turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, but that was only second best to the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} of the German.
