O'Brien Continues to Slide

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dan O'Brien's not had the best level since returning from dinner break and is now down to 42,000.

His latest hit came when he opened to 10,000 in the hijack, Govert Metaal called from the cutoff and Christian Jeppsson moved all-in for 83,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, O'Brien reshoved and Metaal folded.

O'Brien: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Jeppsson: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Jeppsson's pocket sixes remained ahead on the {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, on the {J-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river to boost his stack to 183,000 and leave O'Brien with around 10 big blinds.

Sylvia Loses a Chunk

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sean Dempsey raised to 8,500 from early position and Jesse Sylvia three-bet to 19,000 from the cutoff. Dempsey made the call and the flop was {8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Both players checked and the turn was the {10-Spades}. Dempsey bet 20,000 and Sylvia called.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Dempsey moved all in for 40,500. After some thought, Sylvia let his hand go.

Metaal Guru

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Govert Metaal raised it to 4,000 from the button and the blinds wanted to see a flop so they put in the calling chips.

What they all saw was {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and it checked around. On the {10-Diamonds} turn the small blind had a stab for 8,500 and Metaal was the only caller. The river brought the {a-Diamonds} and it was checked to Metaal. A bet of 16,000 got a fold and a few more chips headed his way.
