Hand-for-Hand Play Begins

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

With 62 players remaining here in Event #12, tournament play is now hand-for-hand until one more player is eliminated, and the tournament is pushed into the money.

Chait Eliminated by Klodnicki

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Craig Chait was all in for his last 2,800 against Brian Saltus and Chris Klodnicki.

Both active players checked down the {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board with Klodnicki betting 4,000 on the river and Saltus folding.

Klodnicki tabled his {10-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a flush as Chait showed his {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and exited the tournament area.

Wattel Loses Flip, Dusts the Rest

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Mike Wattel was in the big blind, calling an open-shove from Toby Mulloy, for 20,900 total. It was a fair duel as Mulloy turned up {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Wattel showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. The board ran {9-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} to miss the big slick, and Wattel was left with peanuts.

He lost the rest on the next hand when his {K-}{2-} couldn't hold against Ben Yu's {9-}{6-}.

Vitch Takes It on Sixth

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Razz

Chris Vitch: {X-}{X-} / {2-}{K-}{10-}{6-}
Michael Kuney: {X-}{X-} / {4-}{J-}{Q-}{8-}

Chris Vitch completed in the first position and his neighbour Michael Kuney called. Kuney led after Vitch received a king on fourth street but the two-time bracelet winner called.

Fifth street gave Kuney's board second paint card and Vitch bet, earning a call. He bet again on sixth and Kuney decided that it was time to give up.

Unlucky River Cracks Ohel's Blades

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

With the action caught on the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, Michael Noori (big blind) was in a heads-up battle against Randy Ohel (cutoff). Ohel had placed a 2,500-bet in front of him and Noori check-raised to 6,500.

Ohel announced he was all in, covering Noori's 19,000 total. Noori instantly called.

Randy Ohel: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Michael Noori: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Ohel had the blades but he needed to fade an ace or a runner-runner wheel to lock it up. The {3-Clubs} turn indeed gave Noori some extra outs and while the river wasn't a five, the {J-Hearts} saved Noori in the tournament. Ohel sighed in frustration as his stack took a massive hit.

Degiulio Takes It

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Jake Schwartz raised to 3,000 in the hijack and Paul Degiulio called in the cutoff, as did Chris Vitch in the big blind.

Vitch drew three while Schwartz and Degiulio drew two. Vitch and Schwatz checked, and Degiulio bet 1,500.

Vitch and Schwartz both called and drew two, as Degiulio drew one.

Vitch and Schwartz checked again, and once Degiulio bet 3,000, Vitch and Schwartz folded.
