Bonomo Doubles

Level 15 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

As we arrived, Justin Bonomo bet 6,000 from the big blind on {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}. David Laka called.

The {10-Spades} on the turn saw Bonomo bet 14,000. Once again, Laka called.

With the {7-Hearts} completing the board, Bonomo shoved for 28,300. Laka tanked for a bit before he tossed in a chip to indicate the call. Laka soon had to add some more chips as his {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} was no match for Bonomo's {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Gerrits Defeats Higgs

Level 15 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Following the river of a {K-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} board with about 15,000 in the pot, Samuel Higgs bet about 10,000 from the big blind. Martijn Gerrits raised all in from the button with a covering stack and Higgs tanked for a bit before he called all in for roughly 41,000.

Gerrits tabled {Q-Spades}{5-Spades} for a flush, besting Higgs' {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} trip kings to advance to the Round of 32.

Diehl Leads Ferguson

Level 15 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

The flop read {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Ferguson had just check-called the 9,000 bet of Matthew Diehl.

The turn brought them the {Q-Spades}, now Ferguson check-called the 7,000 bet of Diehl.

The river completed the board with the {4-Clubs}, Ferguson checked for the last time. Diehl bet 25,000 which sent Ferguson into the tank. After about three minutes, Ferguson called. Diehl tabled {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the full house, queens over eights, for the pot.

Schwippert Eliminates Katz

Level 14 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

When we arrived, Cary Katz and Jan-Eric Schwippert were shaking hands with the dealer pushing all the chips to Schwippert's side of the table.

When Katz had exited, Schwippert told us he had jammed with {7-Spades}{2-Spades} from the button. Katz, down to fewer than 10 big blinds at that point, called with {K-}{4-}. We're unsure of the runout, but Schwippert did win the hand and he's through to the next round.
