Kalicka Eliminated

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jeffrey Kalicka: {10-Hearts}{8-Spades} / {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Robert Ferdinand: {K-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} / {4-Diamonds}
Esther Rossi: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds} fold

Jeffrey Kalicka made it to the money with not even a full big bet and was then all in for just 1,500 soon after, picking up calls by Robert Ferdinand and Esther Rossi. On fourth, Ferdinand bet and Rossi called before another bet of Ferdinand on fifth forced a fold.

"I need a nine," Kalicka said and turned over his gutshot. Ferdinand had a pair of kings on fifth and spiked a five for two pair on sixth. Kalicka received the {A-Clubs} and his final card was a brick to send him to the rail.

Soon after, several other short stacks were ousted including Shirley Rosario to reduce the field further.

Friedman, Yu and Ramos Eliminated

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

Adam Friedman: {K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs} / {9-Clubs}
Frankie O'Dell: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / {8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The first casualty in the money was Adam Friedman, who ended up all in and at risk with a set of deuces and Frankie O'Dell had fives in the hole and two pair with jacks on fifth. Instead of the better set, O'Dell got there with running diamonds to send Friedman to the rail.

Gabriel Ramos: {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} / {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} / {X-}
Ben Yu: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} / {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} / {5-Diamonds}
George Alexander: {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs} / {K-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades} / {9-}

Gabriel Ramos was all in for fewer than one big bet and Ben Yu completed, George Alexander stuck around and Yu's remaining few chips went in after fifth street. Yu's pocket jacks ended up second best to Alexander's kings and tens and Ramos picked up no help at all, ensuring a double knockout just after the money bubble had burst.

Siegel Doubles, Scott Bubbles

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Robert Campbell busted Danny Scott on the bubble
Robert Campbell busted Danny Scott on the bubble

There were two all in situations at the same time but the timeline was somewhat chaotic with one all in ran without halting the action while the other table waited for other tables to finish their hand in progress.

So the first all in ran with Jordan Siegel completing with a ten out and Chris Ferguson raised. Siegel called for his remaining 800 and he found himself trailing.

Siegel: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / {10-Spades}
Ferguson: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} / {Q-Diamonds}

Siegel started with a no-pair but the dealer kept shipping him aces and tens so he made tens full of aces in a quick fashion. Siegel was then rewarded the last ten in the deck to even improve into quads, but it didn't matter all that much as he'd already locked up the double.

Then a big hand between Dzmitry Urbanovich and Julien Martini emerged with Urbanovich raising pre and Martini calling. Urbanovich paired his jack on fourth and kept his aggression for the next two streets but Martini took over on sixth and fired himself with a queen-high board. Urbanovich called but folded to a river bet.

There was all in and a call situation on Table 414 with Danny Scott and Robert Campbell on fifth street with their cards face up. They waited for Urbanovich to fold his hand to get the green light for the rest of the runout.

Scott: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Campbell: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Scott was behind with two pair and he couldn't improve with {6-Clubs} and {7-Clubs}. He was eliminated in 48th place and left the tournament without a payout slip while the rest of the field was guaranteed some return on their investment.

Bubble Can Be Fun!

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Pete Chen was involved in a pot where he ended up all in on the river, getting called by Paul Sexton.

"Full house," Chen announced, showing {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} / {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Sexton mucked and Chen doubled to about 36,000.

"It is fun. It is fun!" Chen said, smiling. Apparently, it's Chen's first ever stud tournament and he just survived on the bubble, getting closer to notching a cash.

Hand-for-Hand Play Underway

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

William Munley and Frank Athey busted just before the money bubble, the latter with split queens against the eights and sixes as well as flush draw of Steven Albini, who jumped to six digits as a result.

Another big stack is Elias Hourani, who was involved in a three-way pot with Perry Friedman and Frankie O'Dell.

Perry Friedman: {X-}{X-} / {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} / {X-}
Frankie O'Dell: {X-}{X-} / {6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} fold
Elias Hourani: {X-}{X-} / {3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Spades} / {X-}

Friedman bet fourth with his pair of sixes showing and O'Dell folded, Hourani called. On fifth, Friedman bet again and Hourani called before a Friedman bet on sixth resulted in a raise by Hourani. Friedman called and Hourani bet in the dark even though he wasn't first to act. Friedman called and was shown the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs} for a rolled up set.

Hand-for-hand play on the money bubble started right after that and there was an all in and a call on that very same table. Adam Friedman survived with aces and tens against O'Dell. "You had king-queen-jack when we got it in," Friedman said in table chat after raking in the pot.

For each hand dealt, two minutes will be taken off the clock and all 48 remaining players are split evenly among the last six tables.

Rosario Survives with Buried Kings

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Shirley Rosario

Shirley Rosario: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} / {J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts} / {8-Spades}
Paul Sexton: {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} / {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} / {9-Hearts}
Pete Chen: {X-}{X-} / {6-Spades}{K-Diamonds} - fold
Michael Moore: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} - fold

Shirley Rosario was all in pre and three other players joined her to fourth street in a raised pot. Paul Sexton bet into the side pot, getting folds from Michael Moore and Pete Chen. Rosario remained heads-up with a chance to more than quadruple up.

She was ahead as she peeled kings while Sexton trailed with a pair of tens. Rosario immediately spiked a three to make two pair. Sexton had several chances how to eliminate Rosario, but he couldn't hit a straight nor make higher two pair or trips. Rosario survived and continued with 13,300.

Meanwhile, William Munley and Frank Athey were eliminated on other tables and the tournament is now on a stone bubble with 48 players left.

Kalicka Left Short

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jeffrey Kalicka: {X-}{X-} / {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} fold
Ronnie Brown: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Jameson Painter and Chris Ferguson chipped up close to the money bubble while Frank Athey and Jeffrey Kalicka dropped back, the latter in almost immediate danger when getting involved in a bigger pot with Ronnie Brown. At the end of the previous level, Kalicka called bets by Brown on fourth and fifth before facing another bet on sixth.

Kalicka riffled his remaining chips and sent the cards into the muck with his head shaking.

Dzmitry Urbanovich: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} / {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / {Q-Hearts}
Gabriel Ramos: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} / {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} / {6-Spades}

Ben Yu completed with a nine and short-stacked Dzmitry Urbanovich raised. Gabriel Ramos three-bet, getting rid of you but Urbanovich raised again before Ramos closed the action, capping.

Urbanovich called and his remaining 3,900 went into the middle on fourth street. Urbanovich had rolled up fours and Ramos was trailing with a pair of kings. Ramos couldn't improve to more than two pair and shipped Urbanovich the double. Ramos is now in the danger zone, having only 10,500 to maneuver.
