Big Stack Sfez Loses to Umdenstock

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Eric Sfez raised from early position, and Joseph Umdenstock called in the big blind. The flop came down {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Umdenstock bet 7,000 and Sfez called.

The river brought the {5-Diamonds}, and Umdemstock's 22,900 bet was called.

Joseph Umdenstock: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Eric Sfez: {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Both players held a flush, but it was Umdenstock that took the pot with the ace of diamonds.

Despite losing this hand, Eric Sfez has been able to build up a big stack today and is currently sitting with 550,000.

Forss Takes One Down

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Four players limped and Mike McDonald checked his big blind.

The flop came down {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} and they checked to the player in early position. They bet 2,100 and it folded to Nils Forss in the cutoff who raised to 6,000. The early-position player called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and both players checked.

On the river came the {10-Spades} and the early position led out with a bet of 4,500 and Forss called. His opponent mucked his hand so Forss took it down without having to show his hand.

Timoshenko Goes to Town on the River

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player opened in the cutoff with a raise to 3,600 and Yevgeniy Timoshenko called from the small blind. The big blind called as well so it was three-way action heading to a flop.

The flop was {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and all three players checked to see the {4-Spades} on the turn. There, all three players checked again.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Timoshenko led out with a small bet of 2,500 before the big blind went into the tank, then decided to raise, making it 10,000 to go. Action folded back to Timoshenko and he thought for about a minute before raising, making it 36,000 total.

His opponent dipped back into the tank but ultimately decided to fold so Timoshenko was awarded the pot.

Moorman Makes Even More of his Stack

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

888poker Ambassador Chris Moorman was down to around 20,000 at one point but is now sporting a stack of well over 200,000.

He first won a hand where the board read {5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and his opponent had bet 6,500. Moorman needed some time but ended up calling with {a-Spades}{7-Spades} for the pair of eights on the board with the ace kicker and that was more than enough as his opponent tabled {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

A few minutes later, Moorman doubled up to around 90,000 when he was all in and called with {q-}{j-} on a queen-high board.

Then about another 10 minutes later, Moorman got another double-up and he was kind enough to tell the live reporting team what had happened.

Moorman had {a-}{a-} and he raised. The player in the four-seat three-bet and Moorman responded with a four-bet and his opponent called which created a pot of around 22,000 before the flop was dealt.

The flop came {k-}{6-}{3-}, Moorman continued with a bet of 13,700, and was called.

The turn brought them a {10-} and Moorman's continuation-bet for 19,000 was called again.

The river completed the board with another {10-} and Moorman jammed for 51,000 and got called again. Moorman showed his aces and doubled up.

Nanos and Maini Chip Up

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After a raise to 4,000 and five callers, a flop of {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} emerged and was checked around to the player on the button, who made it 12,000 to go. Only Vishal Maini in the hijack called and the {3-Spades} on the turn went check, check. Maini bet the {10-Diamonds} river for 26,000 and his opponent called.

The Brit showed {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush and his opponent mucked {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} face up.

One table over, a big pot of more than 85,000 was already brewing with the completed board showing {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. Nanos bet 57,500 and El Khazen Fadi gave it some thought before folding. "I can beat pocket nines," Fadi said after letting go, to which Nanos replied with "You can't call."
