Double Knockout Vaults Labat into The Lead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Brent Ballentine & Antoine Labat
Brent Ballentine & Antoine Labat

Michael Fail raised to 210,000 from early position and Alex Lynskey called on the button. Brent Ballentine moved all in for 1,435,000 in the small blind, and Antoine Labat in the big blind asked for a count, then announced the call. Feil moved all in for just over 7.5 million to force an instant fold from Lynskey. Labat called in a heart beat.

Brent Ballentine: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Michael Feil: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Antoine Labat: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

"This is so sick," queens versus kings and aces, Feil said when he flashed his own cards high for his rail to see. The board came {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the stacks were counted. Labat had more than 8 million in chips, thus confirming a double knockout and vaulting the Frenchman into the top spot.

Barrell Eliminated by Labat

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Action was on Antoine Labat, who had limped from the button and was facing an all-in shove from Mason Barrell in the small blind for about 1,000,000. Eventually, Labat called and showed {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}, slightly trailing Barrell's {K-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The board came down {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, giving Labat queens up to eliminate Barrell.

Sick Runout Sees Wilson Busted

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Dan Wilson
Dan Wilson

Michael Feil opened on the button for 210,000 and Dan Wilson three-bet to 685,000 on his left. Feil announced all in and Wilson snap-called, tabling {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. He was behind against {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, but the {a-Spades} in the window was the last card Feil wanted to see. It was followed by {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and then an {8-Diamonds} turn. The river brought the {q-Diamonds} though, the only out Feil had.

Feil had about 4.2 million and Wilson slightly under 4 million, so Wilson headed to payouts.

Queens Bring Lady Luck for Minkin

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Kelly Minkin
Kelly Minkin

Kelly Minkin moved all in for 1.5 million from middle position and saw Mark Zullo reshove for 4.3 million from the cutoff. The rest of the players at the table got out the way, and Minkin saw she was in bad shape.

Kelly Minkin: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Mark Zullo: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Board: {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Spades}

Minkin, the last remaining woman in the Main Event, spiked a queen on the flop to take the lead, and her rail cheered in the ESPN Main Stage arena. The turn didn't help Zullo, and the river queen of spades only increased Minkin's hand to trips and secured her a lifeline.

Joe Cada
Joe Cada

On the button, Joe Cada opened with a raise to 220,000. Volodymyr Drokin called in the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Drokin checked to Cada who put out a bet of 250,000. Drokin called.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Drokin decided to lead out, making it 340,000. Cada raised, making it 1,180,000. Drokin thought for quite some time, then called.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and Drokin checked. Cada moved all in for about 2,870,000 effective, what was left of Drokin's stack. Drokin tanked for over five minutes but eventually he settled on a fold. Cada raked in the pot to move over seven million chips with no showdown.

Trudeau Makes A Monster Call to Bust Levinksas

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Laurynas Levinskas
Laurynas Levinskas

Jeff Trudeau raised from early position and Laurynas Levinskas called on the button.

The flop came {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Trudeau checked to Levinskas who bet roughly the size pot of the pot. Trudeau called to see the {K-Spades} turn and checked to Levinskas, who bet 930,000. Trudeau took almost two minutes before sliding in a call.

The river was the {Q-Hearts} and Trudeau checked. Levinskas thought around twenty seconds before shoving all in for 3,300,000. This time, Trudeau needed just a minute before deciding on a call.

Laurynas Levinskas: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Jeff Trudeau: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

As if Trudeau had gazed directly through Levinskas' soul, he had called the shove holding nothing but ace-jack high. Levinskas, with eight-high, had to make his way to the exit in 79th place ($91,610).

With the huge call, Trudeau soared to 10,900,000 and the second place behind Fox.

Gross Missteps; Fox Soars to Huge Lead

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Alexander Gross
Alexander Gross

In one big hand, Jorden Fox has claimed the chip lead in the 2018 WSOP Main Event. The board was already completed with {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Fox bet 800,000. Gross raised all in for around 3,800,000 and Fox snap-called it off.

Knowing he was beat, Gross flung {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} open in the muck for a pair and a straight blocker. Fox showed the absolute nuts with {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and racked up the nearly ten million chip pot.

"Nut-nut," Fox cheered in celebration.

"Of course he has the jack-ten," Gross muttered, whose Main Event came to an end just like that. He finished in 87nd place and received $77,695.

Qutami Eliminated by Shorr

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Danny Qutami
Danny Qutami

Hari Bercovici opened with a raise to 200,000 from middle position and Shannon Shorr three-bet from the cutoff to 535,000. Action folded to the small blind where Danny Qutami moved all in for 330,000 (he quadrupled up on the first hand in unknown fashion). Bercovici called Shorr's bet creating a heads-up side pot.

The flop was {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Bercovici checked to Shorr who bet 580,000. Bercovici quickly folded so Shorr and Qutami showed their hands.

Shannon Shorr: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Danny Qutami: {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board completed with the {3-Hearts} and the {2-Spades} and that would be it for Qutami who's top pair was inferior to Shorr's over pair, sending him to the rail.
